Emergency Rescue or Protective Work. The local parties may negotiate local agreements to address requests for leave of absences (e.g., LWOP or excused absence) due to emergency rescue or protection work.

Emergency Rescue or Protective Work. Employees who are members of the Civil Air Patrol or other similar organizations, whose services can be excused, may be granted excused absence for up to three days to participate in emergency rescue or protective work during an emergency such as fire, flood, or search operations. When an employee has requested and received approval for excused absence in excess of one day for such activities, the employee shall provide to the leave-approving official a statement signed by a responsible official of the local emergency organization certifying the employee's attendance throughout the period of excused absence. This provision does not cover employees who respond to emergencies in National Guard/Reserve status.
Emergency Rescue or Protective Work. Subject to supervisory approval, employees who are members of chartered emergency rescue squads or volunteer fire companies recognized by civil authorities, and operating in areas near the installation, may be authorized up to forty (40) hours excused absence during the leave year. Employees must make their supervisors aware of the outside activities such as volunteer fire fighting or rescue squad work if they intend to request excused absence. Upon return to duty, squad members will furnish a statement signed by the squad official describing the specific emergency. This statement will support the employee’s time and attendance report.
Emergency Rescue or Protective Work. Employees who can be spared without interference with essential agency operations and obligations may be excused to participate in emergency rescue or protective work during an emergency such as fire, flood, or search operations. Such participation shall normally be limited to a maximum of 5 workdays per year. Employees may not be excused from duty without charge to leave for the purpose of performing rescue or guardsman duty which otherwise would be covered by military leave. Upon return to duty, the employee will provide the supervisor with a written statement, signed by a responsible official of the operation, stating the amount of time that the employee served or participated in the program. A supervisor may deny an employee excused absence when the employee's absence would be detrimental to the accomplishment of essential agency operations.

  • Emergency Work Employees who are required to report for emergency work on non- workdays, or outside of their regular hours of work on a scheduled workday or on holidays which they are entitled to have off, shall be paid overtime compensation for the actual work time and for travel time in connection therewith, but such travel time shall not exceed one-half (1/2) hour.

  • Emergency Repairs a) The landlord must post and maintain in a conspicuous place on the residential property, or give to the tenant in writing, the name and telephone number of the designated contact person for emergency repairs.

The Contractor shall respond to the notice in emergency situations within twenty-four hours. If the Contractor fails to respond within this time limit, the Owner may correct the defect and charge the Contractor for the Work. If it is determined the complaint is not the responsibility of the Contractor, the Contractor shall be promptly paid for the cost of the corrective work. The Contractor shall give notice in writing to the Owner when corrections have been completed.
