Employee Contribution Pick Up. The Employer shall continue to “pick-up” a six percent (6%) employee retirement plan contribution for eligible employees participating in the UPP prior to the first full pay period following January 1, 2016, at which time the pick-up will be discontinued.

Such “pick-up” or payment of the employee member contribution to the system shall continue for the life of this Agreement. The Association and the County agree that if ever, by any means, the Employer is prohibited from “picking-up” PERS the contribution, that amount, six percent (6%), shall immediately be converted to salary and the employees will self-pay their PERS.

Employee Contribution Pick Up. Bargaining unit members will pay the entire Member Contribution. For employees in Tier 1, the Member contribution is eight (8%) percent. For employees in Tier 2, the Member Contribution is seven (7%) percent. For employees in Tier 3, the Member Contribution is one-half of the Normal Cost as calculated by CalPERS (currently 6.25%).

  • Employee Contribution Eligible employees shall contribute one percent (1%) of their salary on a per pay period basis to the HCSP.
