EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING. MainePERS will post or circulate information within MainePERS concerning career enhancement opportunities and training and development activities. An employee will be provided with up to two (2) days of paid leave per year for the purpose of training and development, provided that, in MainePERS’ reasonable judgment, such training will be beneficial to MainePERS’ operational needs, and the program fits within MainePERS budget guidelines.

EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING. The City recognizes the need for the training and development of employees in order to provide services efficiently and effectively. In recognition of such need, the City will provide employees with orientation as to procedures, forms, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment normally used in the employees' work assignments and deemed necessary by the City for the performance of such work assignments. The City will pay the cost of any employee training or schooling if required by the City, State, or Federal Governments, including any necessary and reasonable incidental expenses. In accordance with the FLSA, employees will be compensated at their applicable rate of pay for any required and approved training or schooling.
EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING. 9.1 The parties recognise that development is a mutual obligation that benefits both the individual employee and the employer. The parties also agree that appraising the employee’s work performance is an essential element of work and personal development. 9.2 Where employees are required by the employer to attend mandatory staff development and/or training session (including staff meetings) they will be paid for the actual time spent in attending these activities. 9.3 Where attendance at staff development and/or training sessions (including staff meetings) is voluntary, no payment will be made.   • EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING 1. The State agrees to provide advice and counseling to employees with respect to career advancement opportunities and agency developments which have an impact on their careers. 2. Regular review of its job-related and career development and training programs will be made by the State in order to provide suitable programs for employees covered by this Agreement. When undertaking any such review, the State shall notify employees of such review and take into account suggestions and proposals made by employees. 3. Employees shall be given a reasonable notice of applicable, development and training programs available. Such notice shall include an explanation of the procedure for applying for the program. Notices of development and training programs shall be posted for reasonable periods in advance on bulletin boards at applicable work locations within the agencies involved. An appointing authority shall make every effort to permit employees' participation in such career development and training programs. Participation in any training inside or outside of work hours which is required by the State as a condition of fulfilling the requirements of the employee's job, or any in-service State training which is conducted or undertaken during normally scheduled work hours will be considered as time worked. 4. The State shall pay tuition, course-related fees, other approved course required costs and for necessary travel and lodging pursuant to established policies and procedures.

  • Employee Development The Employer may provide employees the opportunity to participate in appropriate seminars, workshops or short courses. When possible and appropriate the Employer will provide to all staff information on seminars, workshops or short courses by posting a notice on the Employer’s internal web site.

  • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with Employer policies and available resources. 9.2 Attendance at employer-required training will be considered time worked. The Employer will make reasonable attempts to schedule employer-required training during an employee’s regular work shift. The Employer will pay the registration and associated travel costs in accordance with Article 23, Travel, for employer-required training.

  • Compensation for Loss of Employee Tools (a) The Employer will replace all Employee tools lost or stolen in accordance with the Award.

  • Employee Training The Provider shall provide periodic security training to those of its employees who operate or have access to the system. Further, Provider shall provide LEA with contact information of an employee who LEA may contact if there are any security concerns or questions.

  • Software Development Software designs, prototypes, and all documentation for the final designs developed under this agreement must be made fully transferable upon direction of NSF. NSF may make the software design, prototype, and documentation for the final design available to competitors for review during any anticipated re-competition of the project.

  • DEVELOPMENT OR ASSISTANCE IN DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS/ STATEMENTS OF WORK

  • Curriculum Development This includes the analysis and coordination of textual materials; constant review of current literature in the field, some of which are selected for the college library collection, the preparation of selective, descriptive materials such as outlines and syllabi; conferring with other faculty and administration on curricular problems; and, the attendance and participation in inter and intra-college conferences and advisory committees.

  • Employee Workload ‌ The Employer shall ensure that an employee’s workload is not unsafe as a result of employee absence(s). Employees may refer safety related workload concerns to the Occupational Health and Safety Committee for investigation under Article 22.3 (Occupational Health and Safety Committee).

  • Career Development The City and the Union agree that employee career growth can be beneficial to both the City and the affected employee. As such, consistent with training needs identified by the City and the financial resources appropriated therefore by the City, the City shall provide educational and training opportunities for employee career growth. Each employee shall be responsible for utilizing those training and educational opportunities made available by the City or other institutions for the self- development effort needed to achieve personal career goals.
