EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING. MainePERS will post or circulate information within MainePERS concerning career enhancement opportunities and training and development activities. An employee will be provided with up to two (2) days of paid leave per year for the purpose of training and development, provided that, in MainePERS’ reasonable judgment, such training will be beneficial to MainePERS’ operational needs, and the program fits within MainePERS budget guidelines.

EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING. 9.1 The parties recognise that development is a mutual obligation that benefits both the individual employee and the employer. The parties also agree that appraising the employee’s work performance is an essential element of work and personal development.
EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING. Orientation‌ The Sheriff and the Union recognize the need for the training and development of employees in order that services are efficiently and effectively provided and employees are afforded the opportunity to develop their skills and potential. In recognition of such principle the Sheriff shall endeavor to provide employees with reasonable orientation with respect to current procedures, forms, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment normally used in such employees’ work assignments and periodic changes therein, including, where available and relevant to such work, procedural manuals. Time Off‌ If, because of changes in certification, accreditation or licensure, employees are required by the Sheriff to take courses so as to retain their present position classification, such employees shall be granted reasonable time for such without loss of pay.
EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING. The City recognizes the need for the training and development of employees in order to provide services efficiently and effectively. In recognition of such need, the City will provide employees with orientation as to procedures, forms, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment normally used in the employees' work assignments and deemed necessary by the City for the performance of such work assignments. The City will pay the cost of any employee training or schooling if required by the City, State, or Federal Governments, including any necessary and reasonable incidental expenses. In accordance with the FLSA, employees will be compensated at their applicable rate of pay for any required and approved training or schooling.

  • EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING 1. The State agrees to provide advice and counseling to employees with respect to career advancement opportunities and agency developments which have an impact on their careers.

  • Employee Development The Employer may provide employees the opportunity to participate in appropriate seminars, workshops or short courses. When possible and appropriate the Employer will provide to all staff information on seminars, workshops or short courses by posting a notice on the Employer’s internal web site.

  • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with college/district policies and available resources.

  • Compensation for Loss of Employee Tools The Employer will replace all employee tools lost or stolen while stored in a room, building, premises, job, workshop, Employer vehicle or in a lock, up to a value as specified in Appendix A. Where evidence is produced by the employee that they have suffered a greater loss, the Employer shall pay the additional amount.

  • Employee Training The Provider shall provide periodic security training to those of its employees who operate or have access to the system. Further, Provider shall provide LEA with contact information of an employee who LEA may contact if there are any security concerns or questions.

  • Curriculum Development This includes the analysis and coordination of textual materials; constant review of current literature in the field, some of which are selected for the college library collection, the preparation of selective, descriptive materials such as outlines and syllabi; conferring with other faculty and administration on curricular problems; and, the attendance and participation in inter and intra-college conferences and advisory committees.

  • Employee Workload ‌ The Employer shall ensure that an employee’s workload is not unsafe as a result of employee absence(s). Employees may refer safety related workload concerns to the Occupational Health and Safety Committee for investigation under Article 22.3 (Occupational Health and Safety Committee).
