Damage or Loss of Property. 1. No employee shall be held responsible for loss, damage or destruction of school property or children's property, when such loss, damage or destruction is not the fault of the employee.
2. An employee shall report in writing any loss, damage or destruction to the Superintendent/Director, immediately upon becoming aware of such loss, damage or destruction.

The District shall establish a fund of $3,000 for each school year to be used for reimbursement to staff for any clothing or glasses damaged in the performance of the employee's duties, or for the loss or damage of any personal property, including automobiles parked in the school parking lots, brought to school for use in the performance of said duties. Personal property left overnight not in the possession of the school Principal shall not be covered by this language. No money, or property left unlocked or unattended, shall be eligible for compensation. Any compensation for the loss or damage of personal property shall be limited to the amount not covered by the individual’s insurance. An employee wishing to file a claim shall complete the form provided in the school office and provide evidence of the cost of the item lost or stolen. All claims will be held until the close of the school year. If the total amount of compensable damages exceeds the $3,000 in the fund, employees will be reimbursed on a pro rata basis.

b. A Leadership Team member shall report in writing any loss, damage, or destruction to the building Principal or Superintendent, whichever the case may be, immediately upon becoming aware of such loss, damage, or destruction.
c. The School District shall reimburse Leadership Team members for any clothing or glasses damaged in the performance of the employee’s duty or for the loss or damage of any personal property brought to school for use in the performance of said duty. Personal property left overnight, not in the possession of the school Principal, shall not be covered by this language. No money or property left unlocked or unattended shall be eligible for compensation. A Leadership Team member who wishes to file a claim shall complete the form provided in the school office and provide evidence of the cost of the item(s) lost or stolen. All claims will be held until the close of the school year. If the total amount of all claims exceeds four-thousand ($4,000) in any fiscal year, employees will be reimbursed on a pro-rated basis.
Damage or Loss of Property. 1. No bargaining unit member shall be held responsible for loss, damage, or destruction of school property or student’s property, when such loss, damage, or destruction is not the fault of the bargaining unit member.
2. A bargaining unit member shall report any loss, damage, or destruction to the Wentworth Public Safety Office, immediately upon becoming aware of it.
3. The Institute shall notify the Federation of any change in the scope of coverage of bargaining members under the Institute’s insurance policy(ies).

4. The term "personal property" shall not include cash. The terms "loss, damage and destruction" shall not cover the effects of normal wear, tear and use.

An employee shall report in writing any loss, damage or destruction to the Superintendent/Director, or his/her designee, immediately upon becoming aware of such loss, damage or destruction. The District may reimburse employees for loss, damage or destruction, while on duty in school, of personal property of a kind normally worn to or brought into school when the employee has not been negligent and has reported said loss to the Andover Police Department, said reimbursement to be limited, to the extent that such loss is not covered by insurance. The term "personal property" shall not include cash over one hundred dollars ($100). The terms "loss", "damage" and "destruction" shall not apply to the effects of normal wear, tear and use. In order to comply with the terms of this paragraph, it is hereby agreed that employees will register all equipment and tools brought onto school property with the Superintendent/Director or his/her designee.
Damage or Loss of Property. Section 1. Unit employees shall make every reasonable effort to maintain security within the classroom to reduce theft.
Section 2. A unit employee shall report in writing any loss, damage, or destruction of school property to the Employer upon becoming aware of such loss, damage, or destruction.
Section 3. No unit employee shall be required to sign more than a "sign in/ sign out" form in order to check materials out for use in the work area.
Damage or Loss of Property. Unit members will not be held responsible for damage to or loss of school or student property as long as the unit member is not directly responsible for the damage or loss through willful or negligent behavior. A unit member will be compensated for damage or loss that occurs in the line of duty to personal property that is required to complete the functions of their position and has not been made available by the school district. The request for compensation for damage will be submitted to the Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations. A Claims Committee will be established to review and determine the amount of the financial resolution when the unit member is not satisfied with the employer’s resolution. The Claims Committee will consist of two (2) members of the unit and one (1) member of the School Administration. The District will endeavor to provide each member with a safe and secure place to keep their possessions while in the worksite, and it will be the responsibility of the member to utilize this space for personal property if the space is provided. The intent of this article is to reimburse unit members for damage or loss to personal property that occurs in the normal execution of the member’s responsibilities and occurs to personal property that is practical for a member to bring or wear to work. Appendix G (Claim Form) further defines “practical” and provides some examples. If the claim is deemed legitimate by the Claims Committee, the employee will be compensated in a timely manner by the district. The reimbursement, once determined by the Claims Committee, will be processed in the next scheduled warrant cycle.
Damage or Loss of Property. No teacher shall be held responsible for loss, damaged, or destruction of High School property or students’ property when such loss, damage or destruction is not the fault of the teacher.
