EMPLOYMENT PROCEDURES – SUPPORT STAFF. A. PLACEMENT ON SALARY GUIDE 1. Adjustment to salary schedule - Any employee hired on or before February 1 of any school year shall be given full credit for one (1) year of service toward the next increment step for the following year. Anyone employed after February 1st of any school year shall remain on the same step of salary guide the following year. B. TENURE - (Applies to Employee Recognition #’s 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 15, and 16) 1. After three (3) years of uninterrupted continuous service, employees shall be appointed for an unfixed term so as to provide the tenure protection available to such employees under the provisions of Chapter 137, Public Laws of 1960 (18A: 17-2, 18A: 17-3 and 18A: 17-4). C. Custodian Employment Security shall be governed by a progressive discipline plan as outlined in Article XXVIII C.3.f.

EMPLOYMENT PROCEDURES – SUPPORT STAFF. A. All employees shall receive thirty (30) days notice for dismissal and shall be entitled to all earned vacation days. B. Any employee dismissed shall be entitled to appeal his/her dismissal; in accordance with the provisions of the Grievance Procedure. C. Any employee who wishes to resign shall give thirty (30) days notice and shall be entitled to all earned vacations. In the event such notice is not given by the employee, said employee shall forfeit such earned vacation time. D. Any newly hired support staff member shall have a ninety (90) day probationary period and shall not be permitted to utilize the grievance procedure. E. Any employee who moves from a ten (10) month position to a twelve (12) month position shall receive credit for all time earned for the purpose of vacation time and seniority. Any part-time employee who moves to a full-time position shall receive pro-rated credit for the time employed (e.g., ten (10) years half time equals five (5) years full-time).

  • Employment Procedures Each academic unit shall have the right to make recommendations concerning initial employment within the corresponding unit of all persons with academic titles specified in Article IV, including a recommendation concerning whether such employment shall be with or without tenure, as appropriate. Each academic unit shall develop its own procedures and criteria for making such recommendations to Oakland, which shall initiate all offers of employment. In the case of employment of a faculty member with tenure, FRPC shall have the opportunity to make an employment recommendation to Oakland. In the case of employment of a faculty member with job security, the appropriate CAP shall have the opportunity to make an employment recommendation to Oakland. At the time of employment, Oakland shall determine the value of any prior experience for the purposes of paragraph 38b below; the faculty member shall be notified as to the valuation.

  • COMPLAINT PROCEDURES CONTRACTOR shall maintain and adhere to its written procedures for responding to parent complaints. These procedures shall include annually notifying and providing parents of LEA students with appropriate information (including complaint forms) for the following: (1) Uniform Complaint Procedures pursuant to Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations section 4600 et seq.; (2) Nondiscrimination policy pursuant to Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations section 4960 (a); (3) Sexual Harassment Policy, California Education Code 231.5 (a) (b) (c); (4) Title IX Pupil Grievance Procedure, Title IX 106.8 (a) (d) and 106.9 (a); and (5) Notice of Privacy Practices in compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), if applicable. CONTRACTOR shall include verification of these procedures to the LEA upon request. CONTRACTOR shall immediately notify LEA of any complaints filed against it related to LEA students and provide LEA with all documentation related to the complaints and/or its investigation of complaints, including any and all reports generated as a result of an investigation.

  • Office and Support Staff During the Employment Period, the Executive shall be entitled to an office or offices of a size and with furnishings and other appointments, and to exclusive personal secretarial and other assistance, at least equal to the most favorable of the foregoing provided to the Executive by the Company and its affiliated companies at any time during the 120-day period immediately preceding the Effective Date or, if more favorable to the Executive, as provided generally at any time thereafter with respect to other peer executives of the Company and its affiliated companies.

  • GRIEVANCE AND ARBITRATION PROCEDURES A. A grievance is a dispute, claim, or complaint arising under this Agreement, filed by either an authorized representative of or an employee in the Bargaining Unit, or the County, involving the interpretation or application of this Agreement. All discipline shall be for just cause. B. Grievances will be processed in the following manner and strictly in accordance with the following stated time limits: Step 1. The aggrieved employee shall be accorded fifteen (15) working days from the occurrence of the action or event or when the employee has knowledge or should have had knowledge of the action or the event giving rise to the complaint to seek resolution on an informal basis. The Employee must discuss his alleged grievance with the Airport Fire Chief and the Fire Rescue Division Director. If informal resolution is not accomplished, the employee, if a Union member, must present the proposed grievance in writing to a Union officer on or before the fifteenth (15th) working day for consideration by the Union Grievance committee. If, in the Committee's opinion, no reasonable grievance exists, no further action may be taken. Step 2. If the Committee wishes to pursue the member's complaint, a written grievance shall be presented to the Director of the Fire Rescue Division or his designee within twenty (20) working days from the occurrence of the action or event giving rise to the grievance or from the date on which the employee reasonably should have had knowledge of that occurrence. A written grievance must be presented on a grievance form provided by the County in Appendix A. Upon receipt of a formal grievance or a class action submitted by the Union, the Fire Rescue Division Director or his designee shall investigate the facts and conduct a meeting within five (5) working days with the aggrieved employee and any other persons possessing knowledge considered critical by the Director. The aggrieved employee may be accompanied at this meeting by a local Union representative. The Fire Rescue Division Director or his designee shall notify the grievant of his decision no later than five (5) working days following the date of the meeting. Step 3. If the grievance is not resolved at the second step, the aggrieved employee shall present the written grievance within five (5) working days of the Step 2 decision to the Department Head. The Department Head or his designee shall investigate the facts and may conduct a hearing within five

  • Support Staff The College shall designate a clerical person on each campus whose primary responsibility will be to perform clerical duties related to workload assignments for Employees. Faculty assignments to the clerical person shall be given priority over non- faculty assignments. Any conflicts shall be reported to the Chief Academic Officer or to an academic officer of the College who holds the rank of Campus Director or higher. Employees will be notified of the identity of this person and the clerical person will be notified.
