Environment, Safety, and Health. Each Collaborator shall be responsible for the handling, control, and disposition of any and all hazardous substances or waste in its custody during the course of this Agreement. At the conclusion of this Agreement, each Collaborator shall be responsible for the handling, control, and disposition of any and all hazardous substances or waste still in its possession. Each Collaborator shall obtain at its own expense all necessary permits and licenses as required by U.S. Federal, State, and local law and shall conduct such handling, control, and disposition in a lawful and environmentally responsible manner. Each Collaborator is responsible for all required environmental, safety, and health compliance, notice, and monitoring related to its facility in accordance with U.S. Federal, State, and local law and regulations. Collaborators shall abide by the environmental, safety, and health directives of the host facility in which the Cooperative Work is being performed, and any U.S. Federal, State, or local laws and regulations pertaining to environment, safety, and health that are applicable to the host facility.

Environment, Safety, and Health. SECTION A: Management and the Union agree to cooperate in a continuing effort to avoid, reduce the possibility of, and work to eliminate accidents, injuries, and health hazards in all work areas. Management will make its best efforts to ensure that all people on NETL sites are aware of all applicable safety and environmental rules and regulations.
Environment, Safety, and Health. The Xxxxxxx Laboratory and each of the collaborators within the Collaboration are responsible for the safety and health of their employees and subcontractors in the workplace. Xxxxxxx Laboratory and the Collaboration are each responsible for implementation of requirements related to worker safety and health. Where inconsistencies in implementation are found, Xxxxxxx Laboratory and the Collaboration will work together to resolve any differences, but the final decision as to safety protocols and requirements for activities on the Xxxxxxx Laboratory site shall be made by the Xxxxxxx Laboratory. The Collaboration agrees to adhere to the applicable requirements for working at the Xxxxxxx Laboratory as defined in the Environment, Safety and Health Manual: xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxxxx.xxx/esh, which includes the Laboratory Codes and Standards: xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxxxx.xxx/ehs/manual/22-construction-ehs-manual-policy. Environment, Safety, and Health. This is to confirm the understanding and agreement reached at recent contract negotiations between Sikorsky, a Lockheed Xxxxxx Company and the Sikorsky Teamsters Local No. 1150 of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, concerning Environment, Safety and Health (ESH). The Company and the Union agree to continue to work cooperatively and proactively to provide a safe work place for its employees through assessment of environment, safety and health concerns, and ongoing communication to enhance safety awareness. In furtherance of these objectives, the Company recognizes occasions will arise, when it is mutually beneficial to the parties, to involve the Union’s XXX Xxxxxxx in the prevention and/or resolution of a variety of ESH issues as well as participation in ESH activities and initiatives. The Company will identify those issues, activities or initiatives it deems appropriate to seek the involvement of the Union’s XXX Xxxxxxx. Further, the Company will be receptive to and consider requests from the Union, or the Union’s XXX Xxxxxxx, to otherwise participate in issues, activities or initiatives for which the Company has not previously requested their services. In addition, the parties agree the ManagerHealth & Safety and the Union XXX Xxxxxxx will conduct a monthly safety “walk–a–round” in an effort to resolve any open issues and to increase employee safety awareness. As necessary, but not more frequently than once a week, the First Shift XXX Xxxxxxx will, upon request, meet with the director ESH or their designated representative to discuss unresolved ESH issues. It is also understood any health and safety procedural changes will be communicated to the Union XXX Xxxxxxx in advance of implementation. The Union’s XXX Xxxxxxx will be paid for such time in accordance with the provisions of Section 6.35, Section 4 provided the Company approves such requests. This Letter of Agreement does not amend or modify the provisions of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Environment, Safety, and Health. (a) Applicability -- This clause applies to all on-site work for both Seller and its lower-tier subcontractors at any level. Employees include Seller employees and all lower-tier subcontractor employees. Company is in the process of attaining DOE-VPP Star status. The DOE-VPP Star status program promotes safety and health excellence, with the core of VPP being a cooperative effort among all employees. The program is equivalent to the OSHA program that recognizes employers and workers who have implemented effective safety and health management systems. The ongoing safety initiatives at Y-12 ensure that Y-12 is one of the safest sites within the NNSA/DOE Complex. Non-compliance with safety requirements is grounds for removal from or denial of access to Y-12.

Environment, Safety, and Health. The Subcontractor shall take all reasonable precautions in the performance of the work under this Subcontract to protect the health and safety of employees and members of the public, to minimize danger from all hazards to life and property, and to prevent injury to any of its employees or other persons; and shall comply with all applicable environmental, safety, health, and fire protection regulations and requirements, including those of the SDSTA and DOE (including reporting requirements). Such precautions shall include, but shall not be limited to, all safeguards and warnings necessary to protect workers and others against any conditions on SDSTA or Government premises which could be dangerous and to prevent accidents of any kind whenever work is being performed in proximity to any moving or operating machinery, equipment, or facilities, whether such machinery, equipment, or facilities are the property of or are being operated by the Subcontractor, its lower-tier subcontractors, the SDSTA, or other persons. The safety of all persons employed by the Subcontractor and its subcontractors on SDSTA or Government premises, or any other person who enters thereupon for reasons relating to this Subcontract, shall be the sole responsibility of the Subcontractor. The Subcontractor shall immediately take action to correct any noncompliance with the requirements of this clause. In the event that the Subcontractor fails to comply with said regulations or requirements of the SDSTA or the DOE, the SDSTA may, without prejudice to any other legal or contractual rights of the SDSTA, issue a stop-work order stopping all or any part of the work; thereafter, a start order for resumption of the work may be issued at the discretion of the SDSTA. The Subcontractor shall make no claim for an extension of time or for compensation or damages by reason of or in connection with such work stoppage.
