Extracurricular Duties. Bargaining unit member participation in extracurricular duties will be strictly voluntary. Bargaining unit members with supplemental contracts will be compensated for all participation in accordance with the provisions of the supplemental contract.

Extracurricular Duties. 7.5.1 It is recognized that the school has a responsibility to provide supervision or direction for student extracurricular activities. 7.5.2 The District may assign unit members, on a reasonable and equitable basis, consistent with past practice, to supervise non-paid extracurricular activities that are not covered in the salary schedule in Appendix B. Extracurricular duties designated in Appendix D of this Agreement shall be paid according to the salary schedule determined in Appendix D.
Extracurricular Duties. All unit members shall be responsible for extracurricular duties outside the regular workday. Assignments shall be made on an equitable basis and kept to a reasonable minimum. Unit members shall only be placed in situations where there is a reasonable expectation that they will be safe and supported appropriately in their extracurricular assignment. Teachers may request to be reassigned based on a good faith belief that this did not occur and no disciplinary action will be taken. Each building principal, or their designee, will provide a list of the extracurricular duties at which teachers are needed, at the start of the year and not later than the second week of the fall semester. The principal or designee, shall establish a committee to review extracurricular assignments. Such a committee will include up to five (5) teachers and/or DTA representatives. The committee will provide input on the assignment process, events that need coverage, and Instructions or training that staff may need during the event. The list of events/extracurricular duties will be published with teacher assignments by the school administration within the first two weeks of the school year (excluding assignments that take place in August).
Extracurricular Duties. 1. All compensation for extracurricular duties shall be made according to provisions of Article XX, Section F. 2. No extracurricular duty position shall be assigned any teacher without his/her consent. 3. All vacancies in extracurricular duty positions shall be posted and qualified teachers may make application and receive consideration. A vacancy in an extracurricular duty position occurs when the position is newly created or when the person assigned to the position leaves it by resignation, quit or termination. 4. The determination of the qualifications of a teacher for consideration of assignment to a vacant coaching position shall be made by the athletic director. Those teachers qualified for consideration of assignment to the vacant extracurricular coaching position shall receive first consideration for assignment to the extracurricular position, unless the athletic director determines that an applicant who is not from the existing members of the bargaining unit is better qualified for assignment to the extracurricular duty position. While it is acknowledged that when all relevant factors are substantially equal it is generally preferable to assign a qualified teacher from within the bargaining unit to a vacant extracurricular coaching position, there will be those occasions when a person who is not a member of the bargaining unit may be assigned to a vacant extracurricular coaching position when the athletic director determines the qualifications of that person are more beneficial to the athletic program regardless of the person not being a teacher from within the bargaining unit. 5. It is understood that no teacher has a continuing right to an extracurricular assignment.
Extracurricular Duties. 1. Payment of additional compensation for extracurricular activities shall be based upon the attached Extracurricular Activity Compensation Plan, marked Appendix B. 2. There shall be a committee formed between the Association and the Board to review and revise this schedule beginning in the Fall of 2008.

Extracurricular Duties. Any duties which an employee is required to perform after the regular school day. These duties do not involve instruction of students.
Extracurricular Duties. Bargaining Unit Members shall participate in two extracurricular activities per year. In addition, each staff member is required to attend a parent orientation/open house each year. Extracurricular activities are non-academic, District-sponsored, and PTO/PTA events that require additional staff assistance. These extracurricular activities include, but are not limited to plays, graduation activities, awards night, dances and sporting events. The Administration shall determine the number of staff for any given extracurricular activity as long as the number of events per s staff member does not exceed two (2) events per year. However, if within one (1) week before the extracurricular activity, a sufficient number of people have not signed up, the building administrator may have the right to assign those who have not yet signed up from the staff within the same building (elementary, middle school, senior high) to a maximum of two (2) events per year per staff member. In no case shall an activity be assigned to a staff member on any day that is not a staff workday. No staff shall be required to work on a non-work day; however, nothing prohibits staff from volunteering to do so. If the State grant requires Parent Educators to attend after school events beyond the required events mentioned in this section, those Parent Educators will be compensated at the After School Rate.
