Extracurricular Assignments. Teachers who are contracted for an extracurricular activity will utilize the State of Idaho Supplemental Contract form. All teachers assigned to an extra‐pay position will be placed at the correct position on the extra‐pay schedule. If two (2) or more teachers agree to work a position rated for a single individual and this is approved by the administration, the stipend will be split in a manner agreeable to the teachers involved. Teachers will be given priority for extra‐pay positions. When qualified volunteers are not available, positions may be filled with non‐staff members. Non‐staff members may not receive more than the stated stipend. The stipend is to be paid in addition to the teacher's contracted salary. The schedule for extra‐pay stipends is made a part of this agreement. A coach may be granted maternity/paternity leave for one (1) year from extracurricular assignment. This leave is independent of a maternity/paternity leave from a teaching assignment.
Extracurricular Assignments. Members of the Bargaining Unit will not be required to gain more education for the purpose of accepting an extra duty assignment not currently held. Extracurricular assignments will be reflected in the current teaching contract. A Member of the Bargaining Unit wishing to be relieved of an extracurricular assignment shall notify the Superintendent no later than March 1st of the current school year; the extracurricular resignation will be accepted only if a suitable replacement has been hired. However, in no event shall a Member be required to continue participating in the extracurricular event for more than two seasons after his/her resignation has been submitted.
Extracurricular Assignments. Safely transporting students to and from school each day is the first priority of the transportation department. The Superintendent or Designee has the right to reassign drivers to different routes to efficiently enable transporting students to and from school while still covering extracurricular trips as directed below. Any reassignment shall be at the sole discretion of the Superintendent or Designee. At no point will a driver’s paid contracted hours be reduced in the process. Any reassignment that requires the bargaining unit member to work beyond their contracted hours will be paid for time worked at their regular rate of pay and in accordance with Article 18 Overtime. All extracurricular trips, in which more than 14 students participate, will be assigned to bus drivers on a rotating basis. All bargaining unit members who desire to drive extra trips, shall be offered extra trips even though the extra trips may conflict with their regular route. Special extra curricular or field trips during normal school hours that are outside a 100 mile radius or sponsored by PTO or groups other than the Xxxx Board, will be assigned as mutually agreed between the Association Executive Committee and the Superintendent or his/her designee on a discretionary basis. If a driver takes an extra trip that conflicts with one or more parts of his regular route, the Superintendent or Designee shall assign sub drivers to drive the regular routes not taken by the driver. Regular drivers taking extra trips shall be paid their regular hourly rate of pay for hours worked up to the daily contracted hours and the extra trip hourly rate for all additional hours worked that day. The extracurricular trip hourly rate shall be paid at Step One Bus Driver rate of pay for the given school year. Board approved, non-routine, extra trips will be paid at the driver’s current rate of pay. If a bargaining unit member performs another job during the layover/field trip, he/she may be paid at that job’s rate of pay, or the layover rate, whichever is greater, but in no event can an bargaining unit member be paid more than one hourly rate for the same hours worked. The Superintendent or Designee may withhold any extracurricular trips from a bargaining unit member who is on his/her probationary period.
