Flexible Hiring Rates. 1. In the event the Company, in its sole discretion, determines that the starting Pay Step (Step 0-1) as specified in this Agreement is not sufficiently competitive to attract and retain qualified Flight Attendant candidates, the Company may hire applicants at a Pay Step (Steps 1-2 through 12-13) higher than the starting rate specified in this Agreement. As market conditions change, the Company may, in its sole discretion, change its designated starting rate. Such designated starting rate may be higher or lower than the previously designated starting rate, however, such starting rate may not be lower than Step 0-1 or higher than Step 12-13.

Flexible Hiring Rates. 1. In the event that the Company, in its sole discretion, finds that any or all of its starting rates as specified below in this Agreement, are non-competitive with local market starting rates for similarly situated jobs, the Company may hire applicants in the Fleet Service classification at any station/base/location at rates of pay higher than those starting rates specified below. As market conditions change, the Company may, at its sole discretion, change its designated starting rate. Such designated starting rate may be higher or lower than previous starting rates however, such starting rate may not be lower than the first step nor higher than the maximum hourly rate in the applicable pay scale.

In the event that the Company, in its sole discretion, finds that any or all 7 of its starting rates as specified below, are non-competitive with local 8 market starting rates for similarly situated jobs, the Company may hire 9 applicants in any classification(s) hereunder at any station, base or 10 location at rates of pay higher than those starting rates specified below.

  • Retroactive Pay for Terminated Employees An employee who has retired or severed his/her employment between the termination date of this Agreement and the effective date of the new Agreement shall receive the full retroactivity of any increase in wages, salaries or other benefits.

  • SUPPLEMENTAL SALARY SCHEDULE 12.01 Every effort shall be made by the Board to post supplemental positions in a timely manner each school year. Teachers in the bargaining unit may apply for the supplemental vacancy within ten (10) working days of each posting. If no qualified bargaining unit member applies for the supplemental position, the Board may fill the vacancy with individuals not in the bargaining unit.
