AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN. The work of the Aircraft Maintenance Technician will include all work generally recognized as Aircraft Maintenance Technician’s work performed by the Company in its airline operations in and about Company shops, Maintenance Bases and Maintenance Stations, including but not limited to checks, dismantling, overhauling, repairing, fabricating, assembling, welding, erecting and painting all parts of aircraft, aircraft engines, radio equipment, instruments, electrical systems, heating systems, hydraulic systems and machine tool work in connection therewith. Aircraft Maintenance Technicians must hold valid Federal licenses as required by Federal Law for their assignment.

AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN. The Carriers will provide, at Amazon’s request, an appropriately certified and rated aircraft maintenance technician as a flight mechanic on each flight operated by the applicable Carrier for the first [***] days (extended to [***] days if any material service, reliability, or other issues are noted during the initial [***] days) after the entry into service of an Aircraft under this Agreement that is new or freshly converted. Amazon will pay to Carrier a per day rate of $[***] for each day that an aircraft maintenance technician is provided by a Carrier under this Section 2.21.

Qualifications and Responsibilities 34 i. Must possess an Airframe and/or Powerplant License as 35 required by the position. The Company shall endeavor to hire 36 Aircraft Maintenance Technicians who possess both an 37 Airframe and Powerplant License. However, in the event a 38 qualified candidate is identified for a particular location and 39 department who possesses an Airframe or Powerplant 40 License, and the vacant position being filled only requires an 1 Airframe or Powerplant License, such candidate may be hired 2 with the required applicable license and the local Union 3 President shall be notified of such hire. 4 ii. Must have and maintain a valid passport. 5 iii. Aircraft Checks: 6 a) Dismantling, overhauling, repairing, fabricating, 7 assembling, welding, and erecting all parts of aircraft, 8 airframe, engines, radio equipment, instruments, 9 electrical systems, heating systems, cooling systems, 10 hydraulic systems and machine tool work in connection 11 therewith, troubleshooting, replacement, modification, 12 inspection, functional testing, and maintenance of all 13 installed or removed avionics system components, wiring 14 and sub-assemblies. 15 b) Test and inspect parts, subassemblies or completed 16 assemblies, including Company aircraft to the extent 17 necessary to determine, accomplish, and approve his 18 own work. 19 c) Employees may be required to conduct and perform on- 20 the-job training (OJT) as determined by the Company. 21 (Training premium will apply per Article 4.) 22 d) If qualified, taxiing, towing, and run-up of aircraft for 23 maintenance purposes. 24 e) Completes required paperwork and computer entries as 25 required for all maintenance performed. 26 f) Ensures that their shop/work area is maintained in a safe 27 and orderly manner at all times. 28 g) Communicates with other Company personnel as to the 29 status of their assigned task. 30 h) Hazardous conditions, unsafe practices, improperly 31 functio...

AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN. At present, the UW Flight Center operates with a single aircraft mechanic. Pre-2017, the facility had two mechanics, one supported through the CA and the other supported through a University personnel line item. With the loss of the University line late in CA7, we were reduced to a single mechanic and that left the facility vulnerable to single point failures as well as a reduction in our safety margin. Xxxx Xxxx, a recent hire into the facility engineering group, is also a certified A&P mechanic with Inspection Authorization (IA). We have initiated moving Xxxx into an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) position that will allow him to maintain his duties as an engineering technician and perform duties as an AMT. This move should be complete by the start of Year 3.
