Flexible Part-time Employee. Effective the first scheduling period after 1 January 2013, is an employee who is scheduled to work an irregular rotation up to less than fifty-six (56) hours in a bi-weekly period. The schedule of flexible part-time employees shall be posted at the same time as the full-time and regular part-time schedule. Flexible part-time employees may also relieve full-time or regular part-time employees during absences, during vacation, illness or other leave of absence; however, during such periods of relief, Flexible part-time employees will not be eligible for health and welfare benefits.

Flexible Part-time Employee. A part-time employee is one who is ready, willing and available to work and must be provided with work and paid a minimum of 1000 ordinary hours for each 12 month cycle from the beginning of their employment as a flexible part-time employee. Annual leave and Public Holidays will be in addition to the minimum 1000 hours. Part-time employees shall receive 5% in addition to the ordinary hourly rate as set out in the classification structure of this Agreement.
