Floater Employee. An employee hired by the District for a set number of hours per day and who is assigned variable locations of work, or assigned to a specific location, depending upon needs.

Floater Employee. A regular full-time or part-time Employee who may be assigned to multiple locations and have a variable schedule. Bargaining unit positions will not be converted to floaters without the Union’s approval.
Floater Employee. 4.01 Notwithstanding the other provisions of this Agreement, the category of floater employee is established based on the following: a) Upon successful completion of the probationary period, his name will be entered onto a call-out list. b) He will not gain the status of a regular employee. He will work to a maximum of eight (8) hours per day at straight-time. c) He will be given first consideration for regular employment when there is a need for same provided he has shown the skill and ability to perform the work, as determined by management. d) Laid-off regular employees on the seniority list will be called to available work prior to the call of a floater employee. e) No overtime will be offered to floater employees unless all regular employees have declined said work. f) He will only work within the hours of designated shifts; it is understood this does not guarantee him any hours of work per day or per week. g) The hourly Wage Rate is $15.23, plus $1.00 per hour in lieu of benefits provided in Article 5, Funeral Leave and Jury Duty Pay. h) The Employer will meet with two (2) employees designated by the Union as a committee to review the workload being performed by Floater Employees to consider whether or not there is a need for more regular employee positions. Such meeting will be held each two (2) months.
Floater Employee. A floater employee will be at the worksite on an ongoing basis and will be paid the hourly rate of pay for the classification applicable for the job duties assigned to the floater employee by the Employer.

  • Regular Employee Seniority for a regular employee is defined as the length of the employee’s continuous employment (whether full-time or part-time) from the date of commencement of regular employment, plus any seniority accrued, while working as a casual employee of the Employer.

  • Shift Employees Employees who work rotating shift patterns or those who work qualifying shifts shall be entitled, on completion of 12 months employment on shift work, to up to an additional 5 days annual leave, based on the number of qualifying shifts worked. The entitlement will be calculated on the annual leave anniversary date. Qualifying shifts are defined as a shift which involves at least 2 hours work performed outside the hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm, excluding overtime.   • Rehired Employees Amounts forfeited upon termination of employment because of the failure to meet the applicable vesting requirements shall not be reinstated or re-credited if an individual is subsequently rehired or re-employed by the School Corporation. However, if the board shall have approved a leave of absence of not more than one (1) fiscal year for an employee, such period of leave shall not result in forfeiture provided the employee shall promptly return to employment following the expiration of the period of leave.

  • Overtime-Eligible Employees Employees who are covered by the overtime provisions of state and federal law.

  • Summer Employment 5.10.1 Summer employment is defined as temporary employment of employees during their non-contract days between the end of one school year and the beginning of the next school year in classifications covered by this agreement. 5.10.2 All terms and conditions of this agreement shall be in force throughout any period of "summer employment" except for any deviations specifically addressed in thissection. 5.10.3 Employees who wish to be employed in summer employment must apply for a position(s) advertised on the district's employment website as temporary summer positions become available. 5.10.4 Employees shall be eligible for summer employment according to the employee's classification, district wide seniority, training, experience, and skills and the needs of the district.
