Grandchild. In the event of a death of an employee’s grandchild, such employee will be paid for straight time lost from scheduled work not to exceed two (2) days off within a seven day period following the date of death. No disciplinary action shall be taken against an employee who must leave work upon notification of a death provided that employee advises supervision before leaving and provides proof of the death upon returning to work.
Grandchild. In the event of a death of an employee’s grandchild, such employee will be paid for straight time lost from scheduled work not to exceed two (2) working days falling between the date of death and the date of the funeral, both inclusive, except in special circumstances.
Grandchild. This is a grandchild of a Covered Employee or a Covered Employee’s spouse who resides with and is financially dependent on the covered grandparent. The grandchild must be either under 26 years of age or a disabled child, as described below. Coverage will terminate the end of the month in which the dependent grandchild turns age 26.
Grandchild. The employee must attend the funeral in order to be eligible for said days off with pay. Following the death of someone in the employee's immediate family, the employee shall notify the employer of the occurrence of such death, the date of the funeral, and the location of the funeral. Upon his return to work, verification of death may be requested by the Company.
Grandchild. The grandchild of an employee or an employee’s spouse or domestic partner who does not qualify as either the employee’s, or the employee’s spouse or domestic partner’s legally adopted child, or is under court ordered legal guardianship, is not eligible for coverage.

  • Spouse The spouse of an eligible employee (if legally married under Minnesota law). For the purposes of health insurance coverage, if that spouse works full-time for an organization employing more than one hundred (100) people and elects to receive either credits or cash (1) in place of health insurance or health coverage or (2) in addition to a health plan with a seven hundred and fifty dollar ($750) or greater deductible through his/her employing organization, he/she is not eligible to be a covered dependent for the purposes of this Article. If both spouses work for the State or another organization participating in the State's Group Insurance Program, neither spouse may be covered as a dependent by the other, unless one spouse is not eligible for a full Employer Contribution as defined in Section 3A. Effective January 1, 2015 if both spouses work for the State or another organization participating in the State’s Group Insurance Program, a spouse may be covered as a dependent by the other.
