Group Grievance Procedure. (a) Step 1 The Union may file a grievance with the appropriate Vice-President or designate, with a copy to Human Resources, within twenty (20) working days of the alleged violation of the Collective Agreement or of the date the Union ought to have reasonably known of the alleged violation of the Collective Agreement. The grievance will be in writing and include details regarding the nature of the grievance, article(s) alleged to have been violated and the remedy sought. Within ten (10) working days of the receipt of the grievance, the Vice- President or designate, along with a representative from Human Resources, shall meet with up to two (2) representatives of the Union. The parties shall make every reasonable attempt to resolve the grievance. Within five (5) working days of the meeting, the Vice-President or designate will issue a decision in writing to the Union.
