Guest Teachers. The Employer agrees at all times to maintain an adequate list of substitute teachers. The Employer shall establish a written procedure for reporting a Bargaining Unit Member’s unavailability for work. Guest Teachers. Will be provided necessary training, as needed and targeted at the guest teacher audience, to continue serving as a guest teacher and will be paid at the approved guest teacher rates for all available guest teacher work. This shall include, but not be limited to, training on learning management systems to be used by guest teachers, communication tools, and any other tools necessary to engage in remote instruction.

  • Non-Tenured Teachers A leave may be granted to a non-tenured teacher by action of the Board of Education, subject to all the conditions applicable to a tenured teacher. However, for a school term to count toward the attainment of tenure, the non-tenured teacher must work at least one hundred twenty (120) full time employment days. A school term that is not counted toward attainment of tenure shall not be considered a break in service for purposes of determining whether the non- tenured teacher has been employed for the period of time necessary to attain tenure, provided that the non-tenured teacher actually teaches or is otherwise present and participating in District 34’s educational program in the following school term. The granting of maternity leave to any non-tenured teacher shall not constitute a precedent for the granting or withholding of leave to any other non-tenured teacher. Each request shall be judged on its own merits and shall be within the sole discretion of the Board. Additional conditions or restrictions may be established for any such leave, provided nothing herein shall be construed as requiring any non-tenured teacher to apply for such leave or accept the conditions established therefore.

  • Newly Hired Teachers Newly hired Teachers shall be paid in Category A1 until such time as they provide proof of a different category classification.

  • Participating Teachers A participating Teacher is a unit member who receives assistance and/or coaching to improve instructional skills, classroom management, knowledge of subject, and related aspects of teaching performance. There are two (2) categories of Participating Teachers.

  • Part-Time Teachers A "part-time teacher" is one who is employed under written contract but who is assigned to duties on a regular basis that requires less than a full-time equivalent. A part-time teacher shall be paid a salary in accordance with the basic salary schedule, proportionate to the percentage of the full-time equivalent taught each day as outlined in the written contract.

  • Teacher “Teacher” shall mean all persons in the appropriate unit employed by the District in a position for which the person must be licensed by the State of Minnesota, but shall not include the superintendent and any other licensed administrators who devote more than fifty (50%) percent of their time to administrative or supervisory duties, confidential employees, supervisory employees, essential employees, and such other employees as excluded by law.
