Handling of Grievance. Any investigation or other handling or processing of any grievances by the grievant or the Union shall be conducted so as to result in no interference with or interruption whatsoever of the instructional program, District operations, and related work activities of the grievant or of the District’s employees.

Handling of Grievance. Any investigation or other handling or processing of any grievance by the grievant or the Association shall be conducted so as to result in no interference with or interruption whatsoever of the instructional program and related work activities of the grievant or of the District’s employees. However, if during grievance proceedings bargaining unit members are required to be present during the regular work day, these employees shall be released without loss of pay or benefits.
Handling of Grievance. For the purposes of this section, days shall mean calendar days for the initial submission of the grievance. All other references to days in this section shall mean work days. A. Any Para-Professional employee who believes he/she has grievance shall present it, in writing, to the Building Principal, with a copy to the Building Representative. Any such grievance shall be presented within fourteen (14) days after the occurrence of the event giving rise to the grievance. A meeting shall then be set to occur within seven (7) days following the presentation of the grievance. Those present at such meeting shall be the aggrieved Para-Professional, the Building Representative, the Building Principal and the Assistant Principal. The Principal’s answer shall be given in writing to the aggrieved Para- Professional with a copy to the Building Representative within seven (7) days following said meeting. B. If the grievance is not settled satisfactorily as provided above, the written appeal shall be submitted to the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Personnel by Para- Professional Council 204 within seven (7) days after the receipt of the answer in 8.2 A above. A meeting shall be held within ten (10) days, at which the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Personnel, the Principal, the Council President and the aggrieved Para-Professional shall be present. An attempt shall be made normally to resolve the grievance at said meeting, but in any event the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Personnel’s answer shall be given to Para-Professional Council 204 within five (5) days. C. If the grievance is not settled satisfactorily as provided above, Para-Professional Council 204 may appeal, in writing, to the Superintendent within seven (7) days following the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Personnel’s answer. A meeting shall be held within seven (7) days which the Superintendent, the Principal, the Para-Professional Council 204 President and the aggrieved Para-Professional shall be present. An attempt shall be made normally to resolve the grievance at said meeting, but in any event the Superintendent’s answer shall be given to Para-Professional Council 204 within seven (7) days following the next succeeding regular meeting of the Board.
Handling of Grievance. An employee with a grievance will submit the grievance to his/her Shop Xxxxxxx or another member of the Union Committee. In respect to aggrieved employees in the Engineering and Public Works Departments, the aggrieved employee and a Shop Xxxxxxx shall seek to settle the grievance with the Department Xxxxxxx, if any, prior to commencing Step 1. The grievor and a Shop Xxxxxxx, shall within seven (7) working days of the incident giving rise to the grievance, take the grievance up with the Town Engineer/ Fire Chief/ Xxxx Brother XxxXxxxxx Stadium Manager. The Town Engineer/ Fire Chief/ Xxxx Brother XxxXxxxxx Stadium Manager shall give his/her decision to the grievor within four (4) working days after the grievance was received.

  • Settling of Grievances An xxxxxxx effort shall be made to process and settle grievances fairly and promptly in the following manner: It is agreed that an Employee has no grievance until he/she has first given his/her immediate Supervisor an opportunity to adjust his/her complaint within fourteen (14) calendar days of its occurrence or when they ought to have become aware of it. The Employee may request to meet with their Supervisor and is permitted to have a co-worker from their department present at the meeting. Prior approval is required to attend the meeting. The Employee has the option of making a written submission as an alternative to the meeting. The Employer will provide a written response to the complaint and if no satisfactory answer is received within seven (7) calendar days from the time it was first discussed with the Employee’s immediate Supervisor, the Employee may proceed to Step 1 of the grievance procedure. Step 1 Failing satisfactory settlement at the complaint stage the Union may present the grievance to the appropriate Supervisor within seven (7) calendar days following the decision at the complaint stage. The grievance shall be in writing on a mutually approved form and shall include the nature of the grievance, the redress sought and the section or sections of the agreement that are alleged to have been violated. The Supervisor shall deliver his/her decision in writing within seven (7) calendar days following the presentation of the grievance to him/her. Step 2 Failing satisfactory settlement at Step 1, the Union may present the grievance to the Administrator, or designate, in writing within seven (7) calendar days following receipt of the decision at Step 1. A meeting will be held within seven (7) calendar days from receipt of the grievance between the Administrator, or designate, and the Union. The decision of the Administrator, or designate, shall be delivered in writing within seven (7) calendar days of the meeting. Step 3 Failing satisfactory settlement at Step 2, either party may refer the grievance to arbitration within thirty (30) calendar days following receipt of the decision at Step 2.

  • Processing of a Grievance It is recognized and accepted by the Union and the Employer that the processing of grievances as hereinafter provided is limited by the job duties and responsibilities of the employees and shall therefore be accomplished during normal working hours only when consistent with such employee duties and responsibilities. The aggrieved employee and a Union representative shall be allowed a reasonable amount of time without loss of pay when a grievance is investigated and presented to the Employer during normal working hours provided that the employee and the Union representative have notified and received the approval of the designated supervisor who has determined that such absence is reasonable and would not be detrimental to the work programs of the Employer.

  • Group Grievance Where a number of employees have identical grievances and each employee would be entitled to grieve separately they may present a group grievance in writing signed by each employee who is grieving to the Administrator or her designate within ten (10) days after the circumstances giving rise to the grievance have occurred or ought reasonably to have come to the attention of the employee(s). The grievance shall then be treated as being initiated at Step No. 1 and the applicable provisions of this Article shall then apply with respect to the processing of such grievance.

If any two (2) or more employees have essentially the same grievance they may, and if requested by the County must, collectively present and pursue their grievance if they report to the same immediate supervisor.
