Grievance Proceedings. Employees shall be allowed leave of absence with pay for the purpose of discussions and other proceedings carried out in accordance with the grievance procedure.

Grievance Proceedings. A certificated employee or representative of the Association who is mutually scheduled to participate during working hours in grievance proceedings, conferences or meeting with representatives of the District shall suffer no loss in pay.
Grievance Proceedings. A. Resident may be subject to probation, suspension, or dismissal for both clinical and non-clinical reasons in accordance with the “Misconduct” and “Academic Improvement” policies of the Consortium’s Graduate Medical Education Policies and Procedures Manual. Resident shall have such rights as defined in such policies related to any grievance.
B. WPAHS prohibits discrimination or harassment by or against any Resident on the basis of race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, genetic condition or other legally protected status or characteristic. Any allegations of discrimination or sexual harassment shall immediately be brought to the attention of the Program Director and the applicable WPAHS Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Department will conduct a thorough and prompt investigation into the concerns raised by the Resident in accordance with WPAHS policies.
C. No procedural right is accorded to Resident for suspensions related to delinquent medical records or failure to meet any of the resident responsibilities or eligibility requirement.
D. For additional information on Resident’s grievance rights, Resident shall refer to the “Due Process” policy of the Consortium’s Graduate Medical Education Policies and Procedures Manual.
E. Resident understands and acknowledges that the termination or expiration of this Agreement may affect their Visa status (if applicable) and, to the fullest extent permitted under law, they are responsible for any and all fees or costs associated with their immigration status and for notifying and reporting to the appropriate and applicable government agency any changes in their work status. As it concerns Residents on J1 status, the Consortium will report the Resident’s training status to the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). The ECFMG, in consideration of the termination or expiration of this agreement, will determine the viability of the Resident’s ongoing J1 Visa status in either a program sponsored by the Consortium or under the sponsorship of a non-Allegheny Health Network teaching institution.
Grievance Proceedings. One elected representative of the Association will be permitted to attend grievance meetings (proceedings), if his/her presence is deemed necessary by either party to the grievance proceeding. The elected representative attending such grievance meetings (proceedings) shall receive full pay for no more than an aggregate of six (6) work days of attendance at such proceedings during the terms of the Agreement. The Chief of Police shall be afforded adequate notice in advance of the attendance of the elected representative at the proceedings and the date(s) of attendance.
Grievance Proceedings. 1. A grievance is a complaint, dispute, or other controversy in which it is claimed that either party has failed in an obligation under the terms of this Agreement and which involves the meaning, interpretation or application of this Agreement.
2. Every employee covered by this Agreement shall have the right to present grievances in accordance with these procedures, with or without representation. Nothing contained in this Grievance Procedure or elsewhere in this Agreement with the administration and having it adjusted without intervention of representation of the Union.
3. If the Management fails, at any step of this procedure, to communicate the decision on a grievance within the specified time limit, then the employee may file an appeal at the next step of this procedure. Any grievance not advanced, by the employee, from one step to the next step within the time limits of that step, shall be considered dismissed.
4. The written grievance shall state the specified Article and paragraph of this Agreement alleged to have been violated, a brief set of facts, and the relief requested.
5. The steps of the Grievance Procedure are as follows. A grievance must be presented, in writing, to the Superintendent or Acting Superintendent of the City of Salem Utilities Department, within five (5) business days after it has become known, or should have become known, to the employee. Within five (5) business days after receiving the grievance, unless otherwise agreed or arranged, the Superintendent of Utilities, or his/her designee, shall be required to meet with the employee to discuss the grievance, to which meeting the employee may be accompanied by his/her designated Union representative, if he/she so requests. Within five (5) business days after the meeting, the Superintendent, or his designee, shall render a decision, in writing, to the employee. If the grievance is not resolve, or if the Superintendent, or his/her designee fails to respond within the five (5) business day limit, then the grievance may be forwarded to step 2 of this procedure. If a grievance is not resolved at the first step of this procedure, within five (5) business days of receiving the reply or upon expiration of the allotted time, the employee may appeal, in writing, to the members of the Utilities Commission of the City of Salem, which shall initiate an investigation of the grievance, and within five (5) business days of receipt of the grievance, unless otherwise agreed and arranged, shall me...

School Facilities and Equipment Use: The Association shall have the right to use school facilities and equipment at reasonable times when such equipment is not otherwise in use. The Association shall pay for the reasonable cost of all materials and supplies incidental to such use. Meeting Sites: The Association and its affiliates may use District buildings for meetings and to transact official business except priority shall be given to instructional use.
