Health and Safety Clothing and Equipment. The Employer shall provide a sufficient supply of all necessary protective equipment required to ensure that employees are protected from any potentially unsanitary conditions such as gloves, masks and anti-bacterial soap and cleansers. Employees are required to use and/or wear such protective equipment when exposed to potentially unsanitary or hazardous conditions.

ARTICLE PRINTING The Employer and the Union will share equally in any cost of printing the Collective Agreement. ARTICLE RETROACTIVITY Retroactivity will be paid on a separate cheque for all hours paid by the Employer to all employees on the payroll as of April and to all new employees hired since that date, on the basis of the agreed wage rates. Retroactivity will be paid within two pay periods of the Employer being notified of ratification. If an employee shall have terminated his employment since April the Employer shall advise the employee by notice in writing by registered mail to the last known address on the records of the Employer and the employee shall have sixty (60) days from the posting which to claim any payment due to him/ her. Thereafter the Employer shall have no liability for retroactive adjustments to these employees. I This Agreement shall be effective from April and shall in effect until March and shall automatically thereafter during annual periods of one (1) year each, unless either party notifies the other in writing, within ninety (90) days prior to the expiration date, that it desires to amend or terminate this Agreement. In the event of such notification being given as to amendment of the Agreement, negotiations between the parties shall begin within fifteen (15) days following such notifica- tion. If, pursuant to such negotiations, an agreement on the renewal or amendment of this Agreement is not reached prior to the current expiration date, this Agreement shall automatically be extended until consummation of a new Agreement, or completion of the proceedings prescribed under the Labour Relations Act, of the Province of Ontario, and the Hospital Labour Dis- putes Arbitration Act, as amended, whichever should first occur.   • HEALTH AND SAFETY 16.01 The Employer, Union and the employees shall comply with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act where and when applicable. The Employer shall provide working conditions at all times which are not prejudicial to the health or efficiency of the workers. Employees are required to report to their Employer any unsafe work conditions, or violation of any safe work policies or procedures established by the Employer, or any violation of relevant safe work legislation.
