HEALTH, SAFETY, AND SANITATION. 25.1. It is understood that the Board of Education and all employees conform to and comply with all health, safety and sanitation requirements imposed by State and Federal Law or regulations. Periodic inspection reports received by Health, Fire and State Departments shall be on file and made available to the Union upon its request.

HEALTH, SAFETY, AND SANITATION. 1. Clean-Up: During construction, the Contractor must keep the Work site and adjacent premises as free from material, debris and rubbish as practicable. Haul roads, streets and public areas shall be swept daily. Before Final Completion and Acceptance of the Work, the Contractor must remove from the Work site and adjacent premises all machinery, equipment, surplus materials, false work, excavated and useless materials, rubbish, temporary buildings, barricades and signs and must restore the site to the same general conditions that existed prior to the commencement of the Work. The cost of final clean-up is included in the unit prices for the various items, or included in the Contract Unit Prices, as the case may be. The Contractor must clean off all cement streaks or drippings, paint smears or drippings, rust stains, oil, grease, dirt and any other foreign materials deposited or accumulated on any portion of its Work, or existing facilities and structures, due to its performance of the Work.
HEALTH, SAFETY, AND SANITATION. The Board agrees to maintain safe and sanitary conditions in accordance with federal, state and local laws and regulations in all work areas. In order to correct, maintain and improve effective safety and sanitary conditions, the Board and the Union shall establish a joint "Health and Safety Committee" composed of five (5) people appointed by the Union and five (5) people appointed by the Board. The "Health and Safety Committee" shall be established to review and make recommendations on health, safety and sanitary conditions which affect the well-being of employees covered by this Memorandum. A chairperson shall be selected to serve six-month intervals. The first chairperson shall be selected from among the Union representatives, and chairpersonship shall then rotate to a selected Board representative. The "Health and Safety Committee" shall meet when deemed necessary, but not less than six (6) nor more than nine (9) one (1) hour meetings a year during working hours, and shall maintain accurate minutes of its recommendations, a copy of which shall be sent to the Board Safety Officer. Reasonable travel time shall be allowed to and from the meetings. Any recommendations of the Committee forwarded to the Board Safety Officer and not approved and implemented by the Board to the satisfaction of a majority of the Committee shall be submitted to the grievance procedure.

Xxxxxx shall prepare and submit under separate cover from the Work Plan, a Health and Safety Plan consistent with Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations. The Health and Safety Plan shall be submitted to the Department in the form of one electronic copy on compact disk (in .pdf format). Xxxxxx agrees that the Health and Safety Plan is submitted to the Department only for informational purposes. The Department expressly disclaims any liability that may result from implementation of the Health and Safety Plan by Xxxxxx. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

  • ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY AND HEALTH PROTECTION (a) Seller shall perform this Agreement in a manner that ensures adequate protection for workers, the public, and the environment, and shall be accountable for actions of itself and its lower-tier subcontractors, agents and employees. Seller shall exercise a degree of care commensurate with the work and the associated hazards. Seller shall ensure that management of environment, safety and health (ES&H) functions and activities is an integral and visible part of Seller’s work planning and execution process. In the event that Xxxxxx fails to comply with this Agreement, Company may, without prejudice to any other legal or contractual rights, issue an order stopping all or any part of the work; thereafter a start order for resumption of work may be issued at Company’s discretion. Seller shall make no claim for an extension of time or for compensation or damages by reason of or in connection with such work stoppage. In addition, Company may require, in writing, that Seller remove from the work any employee the Company deems unsafe, incompetent, careless, or otherwise objectionable.

If applicable, Contractor must receive all health and safety information and training from County.

Seller acknowledges and accepts full and sole responsibility to maintain an environment, health and safety management system ("EMS") appropriate for its business throughout the performance of this Contract. Buyer expects that Seller’s EMS shall promote health and safety, environmental stewardship, and pollution prevention by appropriate source reduction strategies. Seller shall convey the requirement of this clause to its suppliers. Seller shall not deliver goods that contain asbestos mineral fibers.
