Hiring Substitutes. Whenever an employee or an aide is absent the District shall make an honest effort to replace that employee, during the term of his/her absence, with a suitable substitute. The salary of certificated substitutes shall be as per negotiated agreement and as stated in Appendix A.

Hiring Substitutes. If possible, substitutes will be hired to cover classes, of regularly assigned teachers and Nurses when they are absent. If there is advanced notice of extended absences of Therapists and Counselors, Shore will make good faith efforts to hire subs to cover their caseloads/responsibilities. Additional paraprofessional positions will be budgeted and posted/hired to provide substitute coverage. Shore will post all open (either vacant or in need of a substitute for an extended period of time) positions and repost those positions on a bi-weekly basis until the positions are filled. The union will be notified when a position is posted and/or reposted. If a substitute for the position cannot be found prior to the position being vacant or one week prior to a worker who normally performs these duties is out for an extended period (more than two weeks) a temporary agency will be reached out to. The union will be notified of which agency, which position, and whether the agency will be providing a replacement.

Asking another employee to give up plan time to substitute for the absent employee shall qualify as loss of plan time under Section C Number 4 of this Article.
Hiring Substitutes. Every effort will be made to use Subfinder to secure substitutes when certificated employees are absent. In the event that a substitute is not available, the building principal shall make other arrangements on a temporary basis to cover said absence. A certificated employee who will be absent from work will follow district procedures included in the buildings’ Staff Handbooks. Absences must be reported by 6:00 a.m.

  • Termination for Change of Control This Agreement may be terminated immediately by SAP upon written notice to Provider if Provider comes under direct or indirect control of any entity competing with SAP. If before such change Provider has informed SAP of such potential change of control without undue delay, the Parties agree to discuss solutions on how to mitigate such termination impact on Customer, such as stepping into the Customer contract by SAP or by any other Affiliate of Provider or any other form of transition to a third party provider.
