Holdover Pay. A holdover occurs when an employee is required to work past the time for the end of the employee’s regularly scheduled shift. Holdovers are paid at the 2080 rate times the number of hours worked to the nearest quarter hour.

Holdover Pay. “Holdover” is assigned work immediately prior to or immediately following the employee’s regular scheduled shift. Any employee who is assigned work, either prior to the employee’s regular shift or at the end of his shift, shall be paid at 1.5 times the current established rate for Range 48, Step 4, 40 year longevity for a 40 hour Battalion Chief for those hours worked.
Holdover Pay. Should an employee be required to hold over, the employee shall receive one half (.5) time additional compensation as a premium for all hours held over. Overtime will not be calculated on the premium amount.
Holdover Pay. A minimum of three-tenths (3/10) of an hour at the applicable overtime rate will be paid for holdover time. When the specific job is completed, holdover is completed. Employees held over beyond normal scheduled departure date because of inability to travel will be assigned work in accordance with the shift normally scheduled at that location at the applicable overtime rate.
