Holiday In Lieu Time Off. The parties agree that the Fire Department will implement a process where holiday in lieu pay shall be converted to Holiday in Lieu Time Off once the Department is able to implement the necessary administrative infrastructure to perform the conversion. The Holiday in Lieu Time Off shall be implemented as follows: Each 56-hour employee may elect in writing to convert 24 hours, no more and no less, expressed as a percentage of their next year’s holiday in lieu pay to Holiday in Lieu Time Off. The equivalent of 24 hours at the overtime rate of pay expressed as a percentage shall be deducted from the holiday in lieu pay. This percentage equals one day (24 hours) of Holiday in Lieu Time Off. The conversion request shall be done prior to December 15th of each calendar year. Holiday in Lieu Time Off time must be used in increments of 12 hours in the subsequent calendar year. Use of Holiday in Lieu Time Off is not dependent upon availability of open vacation slots for assigned relief staffing. Holiday in Lieu Time Off may not be used on recognized holidays. Unused Holiday in Lieu Time Off hours will be cashed out at the end of each calendar year at the employee’s overtime rate of pay. Use of Holiday in Lieu Time Off is subject to advance management approval. The parties agree to temporarily allow 56-hour employees to convert a limited amount of accrued sick leave to personal leave as described below, pending the Department’s implementation of the holiday in lieu pay converted to Holiday in Lieu Time Off process described above. The temporary process of converting sick leave to personal leave shall be terminated once the Department implements the holiday in lieu pay to Holiday in Lieu Time Off. The temporary sick leave conversion to personal leave process shall be as follows: Prior to March 5, 2014 or January 1st of each subsequent calendar year, 56- hour employees may elect in writing to convert 48 hours of available sick leave to 24 hours of personal leave. Personal leave must be used in increments 12 hours. Personal leave not used by December 31st of each year will be cashed out at straight time. Use of personal leave is subject to advance management approval.

  • Unpaid Time Off All accruals must be exhausted prior to taking unpaid time off (unless eligible for EIT access).

  • Time Off The company recognises that sufficient time off to attend to personal matters and for recreation are important to the employee’s wellbeing, job satisfaction and overall productivity. Accordingly, time off may be taken with the consent of the Company, which shall not be unreasonably withheld. In considering the approval to have time off, the Parties will have regard to the current works programme and the urgency of the reason for time off. In the event that time off is to be taken, it will be the employee’s obligation to advise the Company in advance or as soon as practicable on the day of absence, recognising that unplanned absences can cause costly disruption to programmed works and are a major source of annoyance for the company, other employees and clients. The object of offering flexible working hours is that in return employees will take very seriously their obligation to turn up when they are expected. In view of the disruption caused by unplanned and or notified absenteeism, repeated failure to observe the protocol for time off would constitute misconduct.

  • Holiday Premium Pay A Nurse working on a recognized Holiday is entitled to the following compensation for any hours worked on the calendar date of the recognized Holiday:

  • Paid Time Off The Executive shall be entitled to take paid time off in accordance with the Company’s applicable paid time off policy for executives, as may be in effect from time to time.

  • Holiday Premium If an employee works one of the following holidays, they will receive time and one half for all hours worked on that holiday: New Year’s Day, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xx. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, the Day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

  • Sick Time An employee shall have all of his/her accrued sick leave credits transferred when the employee is transferred to a different State agency.

  • Holiday Payment 4.1 Where an employee works on a holiday specified in Article 47 (Holidays) and opts for compensating leave under Article UN13.2 or COR13.2, he or she may elect, at that time, to receive, in addition to his or her entitlement under Article UN13.2 or COR13.2, further leave equal to the difference between the number of hours in the employee’s normal work day and his or her entitlement under Article UN13.2

  • Paid Time Off (PTO) Executive shall earn and accrue paid-time-off covering vacation and sick time benefits at the rate of twenty (20) days per year for employment periods of up to five years of service. The PTO accrual rate shall automatically increase by five (5) additional days for each additional 5 years of service up to maximum of thirty (30) days per year after 10 years of service. For example, after five years of service, the annual PTO accrual rate shall increase to twenty-five (25) days. Unused PTO shall carry over to the next year, but Executive shall cease accruing further PTO at any time Executive has accrued two times his annual accrual rate. Unused PTO days which are not in excess of two-times the annual accrual rate shall be paid in a cash lump sum payment promptly after Executive’s termination of employment.

  • Holiday Week In the event that a holiday is celebrated during the week (Monday through Friday), the remaining four days of the week may be worked as a four ten shift at the straight time rate on a voluntary basis with three (3) days’ notice to the Union. In the event the job is down due to weather conditions, then Saturday may, at the option of the Employer be worked as a voluntary make-up day at the straight time rate.

  • Overtime on a Holiday (a) Where an Employee is required to work overtime on a paid holiday, as defined in Article 18.01, she will receive compensation equal to 3.33 times her regular rate as follows:
