Holidays Occurring on Weekends. When a day recognized by this Agreement as a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be considered to be the holiday. When a day recognized by this Agreement as a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be considered to be the holiday.

Holidays Occurring on Weekends. ‌ It is the intent of this Agreement that all full-time employees receive thirteen (13) paid holidays regardless of their assigned work week. When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be deemed a holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be deemed a holiday. Employees not in a pay status, excluding disciplinary action, on the day preceding a holiday shall not receive the benefit of a paid holiday.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday. (b) When the employee is scheduled off on a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to schedule the employee off the paid holiday.
