Holidays Occurring on Weekends. When a day recognized by this Agreement as a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be considered to be the holiday. When a day recognized by this Agreement as a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be considered to be the holiday.

Holidays Occurring on Weekends. In those cases, in which the holiday falls on a Saturday, it shall then be observed on the preceding Friday; and in those cases in which the holiday falls on a Sunday, it shall be observed on the following Monday, with the exception of Christmas Eve day and Christmas day, which are to be observed as described in Section 1 of this Article. Employees in continuous operations or with irregular work schedules shall observe the actual day, including Christmas Eve day and Christmas day. When a holiday occurs during a leave of absence for which an Employee received compensation, the holiday will not be counted as part of the leave of absence. In the event a holiday falls on an uncompensated day off of an Employee in continuous operations or with an irregular work schedule, the Employee shall receive eight (8) hours pay in lieu of the Holiday.
