IN OTHER GRADES. When an employee relieves in a position of higher rating, except as Department Head, he shall receive the rate for the position he is relieving for the full period he is so employed. When an employee is designated by the Superintendent to relieve in a position of higher rating as Department Head for a period of one (1) full shift or more, such employee shall be entitled to an additional fifteen (15%) percent over and above his regular rate of pay for the full period so employed. When an employee relieves a Department Head for sixty (60) continuous working days, such employee shall be entitled to receive the full salary of the Department Head he is relieving. When an employee is detailed to relieve in a position of lower rating, he shall maintain his regular rate of pay while so assigned.
IN OTHER GRADES. When an Employeeis detailed to relieve in a positionof higher rating, heishe receive the rate for the position for which is relieving for the full period of relief. The provisions of this Article shall not apply in the case of an Employee relieving in a position outside the Scope of this Agreement. When an Employee is requested in writing and is willing to relieve in a position outside the Bargaining Unit, shall receive no less than Ten (10%) Percent above regular rate of pay full period of relief. Such Employee shall ! continue to pay Union Dues to the Union during the full period of relief. When an Employee is detailed to in a position of lower rating, heishe shall maintain regular rate of pay while so assigned. any other Article, when an Employee is required to call in alternate staff, the Employee shall receive a maximum of Ten (10%) Percent of one hour's pay at regular rate for the performance of said duty.
IN OTHER GRADES. Relieving in Position of Higher Rating When an employee is detailed to relieve in a position of higher rating, the Employee shall receive the rate applicable for the position within the Classificationin which the Employee is relieving for the full relief period. The Employer, will relief work to qualified Employees with the most required qualificationsas per the job description within that group, however, if no such Employee accepts this position, the Employer may detail the qualified Employee with the least seniority as the Employer sees fit. Relieving in Position of Lower Rating When an employee is detailed to relieve in a position of lower rating for any period, the Employee shall maintain his or her basic rate of pay while so assigned. Relieving Outside Bargaining Unit When an employee has been requested in writing and is willing to relieve in a position outside of the Bargaining Unit, the Employee shall receive not less than ten percent (10%) above the highest rated Classification supervised or the entry level salary of the Non-Union position they will be occupying whichever is the greater amount for the full relief period. Such employee shall continue payment of Union dues to the Bargaining Agent. The period of relief shall be no longer than six (6) months. When required the Employer may request an extension to the month time limit and consentshall not be Union. Ail vacancies, excluding that of created in the Bargaining Unit as a result of an Employee relieving outside the scope of the Bargaining Unit shall be filled by the Employer in accordance with the provisions of this Collective Agreement.
IN OTHER GRADES. An Employee temporarily assigned to a position in a higher Job Group to replace an Employee for an absence not to exceed sixty (60) calendar days, if not less than one (1) working day, shall receive a rate of pay increase in the higher job group of not less than one (1) increment above the rate of pay being received completion of the aforesaid sixty (60) calendar day period, the temporary assignment, unless mutually extended by both Parties hereto, which extension shall not be arbitrarily or unreasonably withheld by either Party hereto, shall be posted in accordance with Article
IN OTHER GRADES. A nurse temporarily assigned to a higher rated classification, of not less than fourteen (14) consecutive calendar days shall receive the rate of pay for the higher rated job classification from the first day of relieving. A nurse temporarily assigned to a lower rated classification shall receive regular rate of pay while so assigned.
IN OTHER GRADES. When an employee is detailed to relieve in a position of higher rating, then the employee will be paid the higher rate for each day that he/she works in the higher rated position. When an employee is detailed to relieve in a position of lower rating for any period, the employee shall maintain his/her regular rate of pay.

Rating When an employee is detailed to relieve in a position of higher rating for one (If day or more, he shall receive for the full period of relief, an increase equal to one increment above the rate he is presently receiving or the starting rate of such higher position, whichever is greater, and in no instance may an employee receive a rate which is greater than the maximum rate for each classification. If a paid holiday occurs during this period of relief, it shall be considered to be one shift. The employee, when relieving outside the Bargaining Unit, shall be deemed to be covered by this Collective Agreement during the period of temporary transfer. Lower Rating When an employee is detailed to relieve in a position of lower rating, he shall maintain his regular rate of pay while so assigned.

When an Employee is detailed to relieve in a position of higher rating, shall receive the rate applicable for the position within the classification in which is relievingfor the full relief period. The Employer, prior to detailing an Employee to relieve in a position of a higher rate of pay, will give consideration to the most senior qualified Employee within the area section, having regard to the immediate efficiency of Employer operations. an Employee is detailed to relieve in a position of lower rating for any period, shall maintain basic rate of pay while so assigned. When an Employee is requested and is to relieve in a position outside the Bargaining Unit, shall receive not less than ten percent above highest rated classification supervised for the full relief period. Such Employee shall continue payment of Union Dues to the BargainingAgent. The period of relief shall be no longer than six (6) continuous calendar months. When required, Management may request an extension to the six (6) continuous months time limit and consent shall not be arbitrarily or unreasonablywithheld by the Union.
