In-Service Day. Beginning Fall Quarter 2006, one full day, or its equivalent, may be removed from Opening Week and apportioned during Winter and/or Spring Quarter for professional development activities.
In-Service Day. 1 Teacher Work Day at the end of the 2nd semester.
In-Service Day. The first three (3) days of the teacher contract year shall be for teachers’ professional learning and individual classroom work. Teachers will be allowed at least seven (7) hours of teacher-directed work time within those first three (3) days.
In-Service Day. All classified employees shall be scheduled to work between a six and eight hour in-service day prior to the start of each school year for departmental, safety, and health workshops. The content, date, and length (between six and eight hours) of the in-service day shall be determined by the Labor/Management Committee.
In-Service Day. All Bus Drivers shall receive a minimum of three (3) hours pay at the Bus Driver’s applicable hourly rate as specified in Section 2 of this Article or the actual amount of time required, whichever is greater, for attending an in-service program. This in-service shall be scheduled on a weekday.
In-Service Day. Teacher in-service day and one/two hour delays for professional development planned and the teachers notified no less than thirty (30) days in advance as to the purpose and expectations by the chairperson of the District Leadership Team (DLT).
In-Service Day. The teacher work year will consist of one hundred eighty-three (183) days. The Association President shall meet with the Superintendent and/or his representative(s) to develop input into programs and scheduling of an in-service day. It shall be the responsibility of the Superintendent to set up these meetings. At least one (1) day will be allocated in the school calendar for in-service.
In-Service Day. An in-service/curriculum day/workday will be scheduled at the beginning of the school year. This day will be part of the one hundred eighty-four (184) day work year. In-service topics will be designed to provide appropriate instruction of practical value to the bargaining unit member including compliance training and review of district procedures. All bargaining unit members who work with special education students will attend the compliance training and review of district procedures in-service.
In-Service Day. The Board agrees to provide one (1) paid professional in-service day of all USW employees. It is understood by the parties that the day for each USW group (Custodians, Maintenance and Bus Drivers) need not coincide with other professional development day programs being offered in the District.
