An operator who has performed no work for MUNI during a continuous period of thirty (30) calendar days or more immediately preceding a holiday, except for absence during paid vacation, shall not receive any pay for the holiday or be allowed another day off In lieu thereof. Operators who are on leave of absence or who are on the inactive list will not be paid for holidays occurring during their period of absence.

Ineligible for Holiday Pay. Part-time Non-Food Handling Employees hired after April 30, 2005 shall not be entitled to holiday pay. Part-time Food Handling Employees hired after June 27, 2008 (including former PPT employees and Non-food Handling Employees that converted to Part-time Food Handling Employee status after June 27, 2008) shall not be entitled to holiday pay.

Regular full-time employees are entitled to 8/80 or 1/10 time off when a holiday falls in a bi-weekly pay period, therefore, part-time employees, as defined in the immediately preceding paragraph, shall receive a holiday based upon the ratio of 1/10 of the total hours regularly worked in a bi-weekly pay period. Holiday time off shall be determined by calculating 1/10 of the hours worked by the part-time employee in the bi-weekly pay period immediately preceding the pay period in which the holiday falls. The computation of holiday time off shall be rounded to the nearest hour.

  • Statutory Holiday Pay Employees who qualify for statutory holiday pay shall be paid an average day's pay on the Statutory Holidays above, based on the following: amount paid / days worked. “Amount paid” is the amount earned by the employee for work done during the thirty (30) calendars day period preceding the statutory holiday, including vacation pay but excluding overtime pay. “Days worked” is the number of days the employee worked or earned wages during that thirty (30) calendar day period.
