INSERVICE COURSE INCENTIVE AND TUITION REIMBURSEMENT. A one-time incentive payment of $100 will be given for each ten (10) inservice credit hours suc- cessfully completed, provided all inservice courses are approved in advance by the Staff Devel- opment Coordinator. The Staff Development Coordinator must be furnished with a certificate of successful completion signed by the course instructor. One lump sum payment will be made an- nually for accumulated hours not previously paid. Full-time and part-time employees will receive tuition reimbursement for prior approved job- related, successfully completed, college courses. The amount shall not exceed the amount equivalent to six (6) semester hours of undergraduate tuition at the current SUNY rate per unit member, per fiscal year. Part-time employees shall be eligible for a pro-rata share of the xxxx- bursement based on hours of employment. Prior approval for reimbursement must be obtained from the Assistant Superintendent for Personnel and Labor Relations prior to the start of the course. Reimbursement will be made after evidence of completion of course work and the receipt of tuition is submitted to the Personnel Office.

The Professional Development Coordi- nator must be furnished with a certificate of successful completion signed by the course instruc- tor. Full-time and part-time employees will receive reimbursement for prior approved job-related, successfully completed, college courses and/or programs leading to certification. The amount shall not exceed the amount equivalent to six (6) semester hours of undergraduate tuition at the current SUNY rate per unit member, per fiscal year. Unit Members hired in Categories A & B hired prior to March 23, 2010 will be allowed up to fifteen (15) graduate hours at the current SUNY rate per unit member, per school year. Part-time employees shall be eligible for a pro-rata share of the reimbursement based on hours of employment. Prior approval for reimbursement must be obtained from the Assistant Superintendent for Personnel and Labor Relations prior to the start of the course and/or program. Reimbursement will be made af- ter evidence of completion of course work, copy of certification and the receipt of payment is submitted to the Personnel Office.

  • Professional Development Reimbursement Management will provide reimbursement for approved professional development expenses for Lieutenants and Sergeants. Funds may be used for the purpose of improving job performance, maintaining and increasing proficiency, preparing Lieutenants and Sergeants for greater responsibility, or increasing promotional opportunities. Management must approve of the specific professional development request in advance. Denial will require written notification to the requesting Lieutenant or Sergeant.
