JUDGEMENT AND DECISION MAKING. Physical/Community Services Employees: • In these positions, the objectives of the work are usuallywell defined but the particular method, technology, process or equipment to be used must be selected from a range of available alternatives. • However, problems in this Band are often of a complex or technical nature with solutions not related to previously encountered situations and some creativity and originality is required. • Guidance and counsel may be available within the time available to make a choice. Employees and Early Years Educators and Teachers other than Physical/Community Services Employees: • In these positions, the objectives of the work are usually well defined but the particular method, technology, process or equipment to be used must be selected from a range of available alternatives. • The work may involve solving problems, using procedures and guidelines and the application of professional or technical knowledge, or knowledge acquired through relevant experience. • Problems are occasionally of a complex or technical nature with solutions not related to previously encountered situations and some creativity and originality is required. • Guidance and advice would usually be available within the time required to make a choice.
JUDGEMENT AND DECISION MAKING. Reports regularly to the Supervisor to ensure adherence and progress to allocated responsibilities. • Decisions will be made without specific guidance, as this is a specialist position and requires judgement and problem solving skills. • Identify and analyse appropriate procedures, methods and technology to meet the needs of the position. • Decision making to be guided by statute, procedure, policy and/or established guidelines and within budgetary constraints. • Provide appropriate recommendation on courses of action to the Supervisor.
JUDGEMENT AND DECISION MAKING. Under general supervision and guidance by the Development Manager this position has the freedom to act in carrying out those duties and responsibilities specified in this position description, utilising personal judgement in the allocation of time and other duties.
