Jury/Crown Witness Duty. If an employee is called for jury duty or crown witness service, the Company shall pay the employees wages while they are serving jury duty or as a crown witness, less the amount of compensation they received as a juror or crown witness up to a maximum of two (2) weeks.

Jury/Crown Witness Duty. An employee who is selected for service as a juror (including coroner's jury) will be compensated for loss of pay due to such jury service. Such compensation will be based on his regular scheduled hours at his normal hourly rate, less the fee received for his services as juror. This will also apply to employees serving as a Crown Witnesses and jury selection.
Jury/Crown Witness Duty. 16.01 Each employee who is summoned to and reports for jury duty or crown witness duty, as prescribed by applicable law (subject to the eligibility requirements set out below), shall be paid by the Company the difference between the employee's regular base rate exclusive of premiums for the number of hours up to eight (8) or ten (10), as the case may be, that he otherwise would have been scheduled to work and the daily jury duty fee paid by the court (not including travelling allowance or reimbursement of expenses). The Company's obligation to pay an employee for jury duty or crown witness duty under this section is limited to a maximum of seventy-five (75) days in any calendar year, and in order to receive payment under this section, an employee must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:

  • Jury and Witness Duty Leave 23.01 Employees who have been summoned to be a juror or witness by any body in Canada with the power to subpoena shall supply their supervisor with a copy of the summons as soon as possible after receipt of same.
