Late Withdrawal Sample Clauses

The Late Withdrawal clause defines the consequences and procedures that apply when a party withdraws from an agreement or process after a specified deadline. Typically, this clause outlines any penalties, forfeiture of deposits, or additional costs that the withdrawing party must bear if they exit late, and may also set out notification requirements or timelines for such withdrawals. Its core function is to discourage last-minute changes that could disrupt planning or cause losses, thereby protecting the interests of the non-withdrawing party and ensuring smoother execution of the agreement.
Late Withdrawal. Withdraws a student from a course or courses due to major extenuating circumstances beyond a student’s control, which prevent course completion and occur after the published withdrawal deadline. Withdrawal anytime thereafter = Two (2) months tuition forfeited plus prorated tuition for the time attended. *”Withdrawal” during the school year refers to the last day on which the student attends. It does NOT refer to the date on which the school is notified that a student will be withdrawing. The rationale behind this policy is that the school loses the opportunity to place another student in that spot. Once class lists are filled in the early spring, families unable to obtain spots in classrooms at Mater Christi find it necessary to make alternate arrangements for their children. When an opening occurs at such a date, very often the families have made a financial commitment to another school and must turn down the opportunity to attend Mater Christi. In addition, the Board of Trustees must make budget decisions early in the winter based on a projected number of students expected to attend Mater Christi. Staffing needs are met and contracts signed, thus cementing Mater Christi’s financial obligations for the new school year. The cost of consumable books, rental fee of hardcover books, science and computer fees, some field trips, paper, and miscellaneous supplies used throughout the school year are covered in the $350 registration fee.
