Leadhand. An employee without supervisory recognition as per the job evaluation plan and who is designated leadhand shall receive an additional one dollar ($1.00) per hour on the base rate. Leadhand status must be designated by the Vice President, of Administration & Bursarand Finance and will normally recognize the fact that an employee is in charge of three (3) or more additional employees; however, leadhand status may also recognize a responsibility for the direction and coordination of specific work unit activities. In cases where an employee who has a supervisory assignment for which supervisory points are assigned in Job Evaluation and is temporarily assigned an additional supervisory role (three (3) employees or more) that employee shall also receive leadhand pay, unless such supervision results in the employee performing the principal duties of a higher paying position, in which case substitution pay pursuant to Article 28.04 applies, if in excess of leadhand rate.
Leadhand. (a) To supervise the work and work crews consisting of himself and two (2) or more other employees on assigned work projects related to water, sewer, drainage, roads, parks, repair, maintenance and construction.
(b) This does not include an equipment operator who may be directing the loading and/or unloading of trucks.
(c) A leadhand shall receive ten percent (10%) above his own rate.
(d) Leadhand provisions do not apply to Schedule "B" employees, Xxxxxxx or employees who fill a “Chief” or “Head”position.
Leadhand. When an employee is designated and is acting as Leadhand (leading and directing one or more other employees other than as prescribed in the employee’s job description), the employee shall be paid $0.50 per hour above the basic rate of the highest paid employee being supervised by the Leadhand.
Leadhand.
(a) Where a leadhand is designated by the Employer to supervise the work and work crews on assigned work projects related to water, sewer, drainage, roads, parks, repair, maintenance and construction, the leadhand shall be paid:
(i) Ten percent (10%) above their own rate when supervising a work crew consisting of themselves and two (2) or more, or
(ii) Fifteen percent (15%) above their own rate when supervising a work crew consisting of themselves and six (6) or more.
(b) This does not include an equipment operator who may be directing the loading and/or unloading of trucks.

Leadhand. 13:4.2.1 A leadhand, when so designated by the Manager/Supervisor for the area or his/her designate, shall be defined as an employee who shall direct the work of other employees while performing similar work himself.
13:4.2.2 A leadhand shall not have the authority to hire, fire, suspend or discipline employees and shall be a member of the Union in accordance with Article 7:2.1 herein.
13:4.2.3 Designation shall be on the basis of qualifications and ability with due regard to seniority.
13:4.2.4 A leadhand shall receive special allowance as provided in Schedule A.7 - Miscellaneous. 13:4.3 First Aid
3.1 Providing an employee holding a valid First Aid Certificate is designated in writing by the Board and is required to act as a First Aid Attendant in a facility, the Board shall pay the designated employee an allowance in accordance with Schedule “A.7” of this agreement for performing duties of the First Aid Attendant:
(a) in a facility as determined by the Board requiring basic Level I First Aid;
(b) in a facility as determined by the Board requiring Level II First Aid.
Leadhand. You are eligible to contribute up to a maximum of 5% of your earnings to the Plan.

13:4.2.5 During the Summer cleaning of the Board’s facilities, the Custodian designated by the Employer to be the Team Leader of the cleaning crews shall be paid at the Custodian IV rate of pay for all hours worked as the Team Leader.
13:4.2.5.1 The Leadhand special allowance under Article 13:4.2.4 shall not be paid to the Custodian designated to be the Team Leader under Article 13:4.2.5.
Leadhand. A Leadhand shall receive a dollar and eighty-nine cents ($1.89) per hour premium in addition to their regular rate of pay. A Leadhand must be designated by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Leadhand. Leadhands shall receive one dollar ($1.00) above their regular rate of pay. A Leadhand must be designated by the Superintendent or delegate. An employee shall not be considered as responsible for employees working with the employee unless the employee is designated as the Leadhand.
