Leave for Union Meetings. 6.3.1 Providing the employee would otherwise be working for the employer during the meeting, the employer shall allow each member of NZEI Te Riu Roa or APEX paid absence of up to two hours for any one meeting NZEI Te Riu Roa or APEX may call in any one year (January to December inclusive), or an aggregate paid absence of up to four hours for any two or more meetings NZEI Te Riu Roa or APEX may call in that same year provided that the paid absence in respect of any such meeting shall not exceed two hours. 6.3.2 In respect of every such meeting called NZEI Te Riu Roa or APEX will consult with the employer about the date(s), time(s) and place(s) of such meeting(s) before giving notice at least 14 days prior to the date of such meeting(s). 6.3.3 NZEI Te Riu Roa members or APEX members shall resume duty as soon as practicable after the meeting but the employer shall not be obliged to pay any Institute member for a period greater than two hours in respect of any such meeting.

The paid absence in respect of any such meeting shall not exceed two hours to the extent that the employee would otherwise be working for the employer during the meeting. 8.4.2 In respect of every such meeting called notice shall be given to the employer as to the date(s), time(s) and place(s) of such meeting(s). Such notice(s) shall be delivered at least 14 days prior to the date of such meeting(s). 8.4.3 Employees shall resume duty as soon as practicable after the meeting but the employer shall not be obliged to pay any employee for a period greater than two hours in respect of any such meeting. 8.4.4 Only employees who actually attend a meeting called in accordance with this clause shall be entitled to pay in respect of that meeting and to that end a list of employees who attended the meeting shall be given to the employer along with the time of finishing the meeting.
Leave for Union Meetings. Members of the Union who have been elected to represent the Union at conventions, or to attend executive or committee meetings of the Union shall apply in writing to the Employer at least two (2) weeks prior to the event. In cases of emergencies, shorter time frames will be considered. In cases where the employee may be excused from performing work for the Employer, then the leave may be granted. The granting of such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld. The Employer shall maintain the wages and benefits for employees on leave under this Article. The Union shall reimburse the Employer for the wages and benefits for the time spent on such leave.

Leave for Union Meetings. Subject to operational requirements and prior Company authorization, leave without pay may be granted for a reasonable period of time to Union representatives in order to attend Union conventions, conferences or training programs. Authorization for such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld. Such leave shall be further subject to the following: (a) The Union must provide at least thirty (30) days advance notice for the leave that is required. (b) The cumulative total of such leave will not exceed twelve (12) working days in each calendar year. Notwithstanding the foregoing, an additional five (5) working days shall be available in a calendar year in which the CEP national convention is held. (c) Upon receipt of an invoice, the Union agrees to reimburse the Company for time lost during the period of the employee’s leave.

  • Union Meetings The Employer recognizes the Union's interest in keeping its members informed and aware of its activities through regular union meetings. The Employer may approve the use of the agency facilities to hold union meetings. Union meetings, including general and/or committee(s) meetings, held on employer premises will not interfere with the operation of the Employer.

  • Association Meetings The Association shall have the right to use school facilities for meetings without cost after the regular students’ school day.

  • Open Meetings (a) All scheduled meetings of the Employer shall be open meetings, except in those cases where personnel, financial or other matters require that the meeting be considered confidential. (b) In those cases where a meeting is designated confidential, the Union shall be provided with a reason for such designation. (c) A designated member of the Union shall be provided a copy of the agenda and minutes of all open meetings. (d) Notwithstanding 18.04(b), any faculty member may request that an Union representative attend as an observer at meetings where the faculty member reasonably believes their working conditions under Article 12 will be affected. Management will be notified by the Union in advance of the meeting regarding their attendance at the meeting.

  • Annual Meetings The Annual Meeting of Stockholders for the election of directors shall be held on such date and at such time as shall be designated from time to time by the Board of Directors. Any other proper business may be transacted at the Annual Meeting of Stockholders.

  • Membership Meetings At the request of the Union the University agrees to grant a two (2) hour period twice a calendar year for purposes of a regular membership meeting. The University agrees to grant time off from work without loss of pay to those Employees regularly scheduled to work during that time.

  • Negotiation Meetings The first bargaining session shall be held at a mutually agreed time and date within fourteen (14) days of the request. All proposals by the parties shall be written and submitted to the representative(s) of both teams at the first meeting.   • Faculty Meetings Principals shall have the authority to schedule necessary faculty meetings; however, such meetings shall be as brief and well planned as possible. Such meetings shall be used for purposes that cannot be accomplished effectively through other means. Faculty meetings shall be scheduled in a manner that impacts teacher planning time to the least degree possible. If more than one faculty meeting is held in a month, the purpose of the meeting shall be announced to the faculty in advance.

  • Special Meetings Special meetings of the Trustees may be held at any time and at any place designated in the call of the meeting when called by the President or the Treasurer or by two or more Trustees, sufficient notice thereof being given to each Trustee by the Secretary or an Assistant Secretary or by the officer or the Trustees calling the meeting.

  • GENERAL MEETINGS The Academy Trust shall hold an Annual General Meeting each year in addition to any other meetings in that year, and shall specify the meeting as such in the notices calling it; and not more than fifteen months shall elapse between the date of one Annual General Meeting of the Academy Trust and that of the next.
