Level of Fees. (i) The fee level for the courses listed below will be £3,290.00 for a full academic year: (each year the college will apply an inflationary increase to fees)

Level of Fees. We propose to continue to charge the following tuition fees for full time students: Higher National Diplomas and Foundation Degrees - £6500 Two groups of full time Foundation Degrees students only attend for one afternoon and evening a week and we do not intend to increase their fee to over £6000. In 2017/18 we anticipate that we will have about 160 students who will pay a fee of £6500. Thus the total income above the fee limit will be £80000. (ii) All other Council (HEFCE) funded programmes e.g. Higher National Diplomas and Certificates will have fees set at the standard rate i.e. £1,250.00 for full-time and £155.00 per module for part-time (figures are subject to change on receipt of government guidance).

Part time students are defined as those students who are studying at an intensity of at least 50% full-time equivalent, that is those who will complete their studies in no more than twice the length of time it would take to complete an equivalent full-time course. A full-time course is equivalent to 360 credits. For example, if a part-time student chose to study 80 credits one year and 40 credits the next they would be expected to contribute £1.5k per year. Students studying on a module by module basis will be charged on a pro-rata basis of the full time undergraduate fee. For example, if studying 30 credits they would pay £250. The University has generated £2m of external donor sponsorship to support undergraduate scholarships. In addition to this, we will spend £8.3m2 per year on bursaries and scholarships. 2 Once in steady state from 2010-11 The University will provide more than the minimum commitment of £300 per year to those on full state support.3 4 We will offer three types of bursary/scholarship provision based on need and to support under-represented groups. All support to full and part-time students will be in cash terms. We will offer bursaries of up to £3k per year for some groups of under-represented students. This amounts to £9k over a standard three-year course. These bursaries/scholarships will be aimed at particular target groups. Whilst this level of support will not be available to the majority of students, the package will support approximately one-quarter of the University’s eligible undergraduate population. Level of Fees. The provisions of this access agreement apply only to students enrolled on full time higher education programmes at the Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education. Students enrolling on the higher education programmes listed below for the session 2010/11 course fees will be £2,400 for a full academic year. Students enrolled on higher education programmes listed below for the sessions 2006/07, 2007/08 and 2009/10 will continue to pay fees of £2,000 for a full academic year. Students enrolling on the higher education programmes listed below at our Yorkshire Coast College campus (which came under the management of the Grimsby Institute in 2009) course fees will be £1,500 for a full academic year for the session 2010/11. Existing students will continue to pay the standard fee of £1,255. The courses are:
3.1.1 All degrees undertaken by full time study, which are directly funded by the Higher Education Funding Council (HEFCE)
3.1.2 All foundation degrees undertaken by full time study, which are directly funded by HEFCE.
3.1.3 All Higher National Diplomas undertaken by full time study, which are directly funded by HEFCE.
3.1.4 All top-up degrees undertaken by full time study, which are directly funded by HEFCE. This covers all full time directly funded HEFCE courses at GIFHE. The fee levels for franchised courses are the responsibility of the franchising institution and will be determined by them and specified in their particular access agreement.
