Part Time Students. The Company shall determine the hours of work per day and days per week for all Part-Time Students, with priority given to the student’s education schedule, while attending school. These hours per day shall be spread over a shift of eight (8) consecutive hours or a shift of ten (10) consecutive hours as per the needs of the Company. Excess hours, beyond the ten (10) hour shift, may be worked upon an agreement with the employee. The hours of work of a student shall not exceed those of the junior Regular Part-Time employee in the common locality.
Part Time Students. Unless there is mutual agreement with the Union, Part-time students may only work on the weekends after all available full-time employees have been offered the available work. No overtime will be offered to summer students unless all union employees have been offered the opportunity to work said overtime. It is agreed the use of students is to facilitate planned absences (i.e. vacations, banked time, etc) for full-time employees. It is agreed no full-time employee will be denied a planned vacation or banked time request between May 1 to Labour Day providing the employee makes a timely application and the Company can secure a suitable replacement. If employees are needed to cover an unplanned absence, students will be permitted after the Overtime Policy has been exhausted. During periods of work when students are working and it is overstaffed, regular Union employees will be given the opportunity to go home by seniority. If no regular Union employee wishes to go home, students will be sent home. Full-time students will be asked to sign an extension to their probation as part of being a full-time student. If a student is hired as a full-time employee they are required to complete a probationary period. Full-time students will be placed into entry level positions within the Gen Lines first to allow full-time employees to be transferred to other departments. Students will be subject to paying Union dues as per the CAW-Canada Constitution Overtime will be paid after forty (40) hours per week. No student will eliminate a full-time Union job at any time during the year. Management and the Union Chairperson / designate agree to meet upon request to evaluate the number of students required and the number of hours worked. In the event, there is a disagreement, the Union President and the Director of Manufacturing will meet to seek a resolution. To qualify as a student, the individual must provide the Union Plant Committee and the Human Resources department with a current student card or verification from the school administration. No students will perform any work until all laid-off employees have been given the opportunity to perform the available work. This does not apply to laid-off Skilled Trades employees.
Part Time Students. For Non-CPS Students:
Part Time Students. The part time program consists of a minimum of 4 semesters over a twenty-three month period. Students enroll as Part time 1 for the first 11.5 months, then Part time 2 for the next 11.5 months. An enrollment agreement is required for each of these sections. For changes in the curriculum, the student is responsible to fulfill any new requirements. These requirements may include, but are not limited to: additional book purchases, additional curriculum hours that may occur, and additional tuition. The student is required to attend orientation at the beginning of each year to receive any updated handbook, supplies, and information. Students who begin the program at a full time status, but switch to part time are responsible for all part time requirements, as stated above.
Part Time Students. Students on part time degree programmes and higher national certificate programmes will not be charged a top- up fee from September 2006 other than the normal cost of living rise in fees. This position will be reviewed during the first year of the access agreement.
Part Time Students. The majority of our part-time provision is delivered by our franchise partners included under the partnership sections of this agreement, which is detailed elsewhere in this document. Where other part-time provision is provided, tuition fees are not expected to exceed the basic part- time fee level of £4,625 within an academic year, due to part-time study being undertaken on a modular basis. Although we do not expect any student to incur a part-time tuition fee above the basic fee level, should this need occur, we will spend an appropriate proportion of any income above this part-time basic fee level on access measures.
Part Time Students. A consumer/student who wishes to transfer his/her enrolment (or the enrolment of the student, where the consumer is also not the student) from one Vistech programme to another at the same academic quarter may apply for permission to do so from Vistech. Where the fees in respect of the proframmes differ, the transfer shall be subject to a new credit application and the transfer. In addition to the higher tuition fee, the consumer/student will be charged the value of the notes/books for the programme from which he/she or the student as the case may be is transferring, as well as those required for the programme to which he/she or the student is transferring. In the case of a consumer or student transferring from any full-time computer programme to another, the consumer will additionally be charged a default administration fee in respect of computer and software costs.
Part Time Students. In the case of a participant who is a part-time student—
(1) the maximum amount of the stipend pay- able to the participant shall be reduced in ac- cordance with the proportion that the number of credit hours carried by such participant bears to the number of credit hours required to be carried by a full-time student in the course of education or training being pursued by the participant;
(2) a stipend may not be paid for any month during which the participant is not actually
Part Time Students. Students on part time degree programmes and Higher National Certificate programmes will be charged a College fee which will take account of inflation.
Part Time Students. This rate applies to students under 18 years of age who work 28 hours a week or less, when school is in session, or students employed during a school break or summer holidays.
