Full Time Study. (a) Subject to the provisions of sub-clause 56.5 (b), the Managing Director may grant an employee full time study leave with pay to undertake: (i) post graduate degree studies at Australian or overseas tertiary education institutions; or (ii) study tours involving observations and/or investigations; or (iii) a combination of postgraduate studies and study tour. (b) Applications for full time study leave with pay are to be considered on their merits and may be granted provided that the following conditions are met: (i) The course or a similar course is not available locally. Where the course of study is available locally, applications are to be considered in accordance with the provisions of sub-clauses 56.2 to 56.4 and the Leave Without Pay provisions in Clause 48 – Leave Without Pay. (ii) It must be a highly specialised course with direct relevance to the employee’s profession. (iii) It must be highly relevant to the College’s corporate strategies and goals. (iv) The expertise or specialisation offered by the course of study should not already be available through other employees employed within the College. (v) If the applicant was previously granted study leave, studies must have been successfully completed at that time. Where an employee is still under a bond, this does not preclude approval being granted to take further study leave if all the necessary criteria are met. (vi) A fixed term contract employee may not be granted study leave with pay for any period beyond that employee’s approved period of engagement. (c) Full time study leave with pay may be approved for more than 12 months subject to a yearly review of satisfactory performance. (d) Where an outside award is granted and the studies to be undertaken are considered highly desirable by a Managing Director, financial assistance to the extent of the difference between the employee’s normal salary and the value of the award may be considered. Where no outside award is granted and where a request meets all the necessary criteria then part or full payment of salary may be approved at the discretion of the Managing Director. (e) The Managing Director supports recipients of coveted awards and fellowships by providing study leave with pay. Recipients normally receive as part of the award or fellowship; return airfares, payment of fees, allowance for books, accommodation or a contribution towards accommodation. Full Time Study. Students studying on a full-time basis can complete the Cazenovia College Inclusive Early Childhood Education (B.S.) degree in two years, as long as the required course work is followed with the minimum passing grades. The curriculum warrants one summer session prior to the student’s senior year.

(b) The period of full-time study leave with pay is accepted as qualifying service for leave entitlements as prescribed under this Agreement provided the Employee returns to work during periods of study break.

Full Time Study. Students studying on a full-time basis can complete the Cazenovia College Inclusive Early Childhood Education (B.S.) or the Inclusive Elementary Education (B.S.) degree in two years as long as students enter with 60 plus credits with proper pre-requisites meeting the grade requirements. The curriculum warrants one summer session course each year; one of which will be an on-campus residency course at Cazenovia College. Students will complete the degree at Herkimer College. These degree programs will be offered as a cohort and entrance into the programs will be the summer session/semester of each academic year.

Related to Full Time Study

  • Full-Time Status In addition to the duties and responsibilities specifically assigned to the Executive pursuant to Section 2.1 hereof, the Executive shall: (a) devote substantially all of Executive’s time, energy and skill during regular business hours to the performance of the duties of his employment (reasonable vacations and reasonable absences due to illness excepted) and faithfully perform such duties; (b) diligently follow and implement all reasonable and lawful management policies and decisions communicated to Executive by the Board of Directors of the Employer; and (c) timely prepare and forward to the Board of Directors of the Employer all reports and accountings as may reasonably be requested of the Executive.

  • Full-Time Nurse is a Nurse who is hired to a position on a regular or temporary basis to work the work period described in Article 7.00 of this Agreement.

  • Full-Time Position Executive accepts such employment and agrees to devote substantially all of his business time, energies and attention to the performance of his duties hereunder.   • Regular Full-Time Employee A regular, full-time employee is one who is scheduled to work a minimum of forty (40) hours per week, on a regular basis.

  • Regular Full-Time Employees A regular full-time employee is one who works full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular full-time employees accumulate seniority and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement.
