Loss or Damage to Personal Property. The University cannot provide coverage for any loss or damage to personal property. It is strongly recommended that residents carry insurance on their personal belongings; this can sometimes be accomplished through parents’ or guardians’ fire or homeowners’ policies. Individual policies should be reviewed to determine conditions for coverage. We strongly recommend that all students obtain renters insurance prior to move in. We have partnered with GradGuard, which offers a College Renters Insurance Plan that is specifically designed for students. Bicycles should be registered with Campus Safety and marked for identification.
