Manholes. Prior to reclamation process, each manhole shall be lowered to a depth of at least 2” below the initial pulverizing depth. After final pass of reclaimer and final compaction, manholes shall be readjusted to the appropriate height to accommodate the final overlay.
Manholes. TS-903 Manhole dimensions shall be as shown on Drawings. TS-904 Manholes shall be constructed from approved precast concrete rings. TS-905 Manholes, xxxxxxxx, Septic tanks, disintegration and settling tanks and percolating pits shall be constructed in the positions and to the dimensions shown on the Drawings or as directed by the Managing Official . The method of execution of all work in connection with these shall be as elsewhere described in the appropriate trades. TS-906 Manhole base slabs shall be according to drawings, and .at least 150mm thick grade (A) concrete or as directed and approved by the Managing Official. TS-907 Manhole cover slabs shall be a minimum of 150mm thick suitably reinforced grade (A) concrete, where also approved precast covers can be used. TS-908 Precast concrete manholes shall comply with BS 556. TS-909 Manhole sections shall be jointed using a cement and sand mortar, 1 : 2 , proprietary bituminous or resin fillers . Where flexible fillers are used their shape, thickness and location in the joint shall be in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. The remainder of the joint shall be filled with a cement and sand mortar 1: 2, to prevent settlement of the sections with possible point contact and subsequent spalling of the concrete joint. TS-910 Precast concrete manholes used below water table level shall be surrounded with a minimum thickness of 150mm concrete which shall be not less than a 1:2:4 mix. TS-911 Sulphate resisting cements shall be used in concrete and mortar, or accepted epoxy paint should be made for all concrete and mortars facing the waste water. TS-912 Cast iron manhole covers and frames shall comply with BS 497 except that the bituminous based protective coating shall not flow or chip when exposed to temperatures in the range of 0OC to 76.7OC.
Manholes. When any work is being done in a manhole, there shall be a person stationed at street level as a safety measure when working conditions warrant.
Manholes. 1. Precast reinforced manholes shall be manufactured in accordance with ASTM C478 and shall have a minimum wall thickness of 5 inches (127 mm). All concrete shall have a minimum compressive strength of 4,000 psi when tested in accordance with ASTM C478.
Manholes. 1.2.3 All related Appurtenances
Manholes. Notwithstanding any other provision contained in the Agreement to the contrary, if the sewer lines that are subject to this Agreement are installed in private or public streets and the surface of the street is not paved by the time of final acceptance, Applicant shall remain responsible of raising the manholes to finished street grade in accordance with applicable County specifications when the street is paved. Applicant shall notify the District when the work to raise the manholes is complete so that the District may inspect the work. As part of the work on the manholes, Applicant shall insure that the manholes are clear of debris and are operational. If the Applicant does not raise the manholes as required herein, the District may perform the work at Applicant’s sole cost and expense within thirty (30) days after notice to Applicant. Applicant shall make payment to the District within thirty (30) days after invoice. In the event payment is not timely made, Applicant agrees to pay all costs of collection (including reasonable attorneys fees) together with interest on the unpaid delinquent amount at the rate of 1.5 percent per month or part thereof.
Manholes. We don’t allow internal manholes, even if they have double- sealed covers, because there’s an increased risk of internal flooding and odour problems. You’ll need to remove the manhole and lay a new section of connecting pipe across this section. You should reconstruct the manhole outside your extension, either on the line of the sewer or offset and connected by a Y junction (see drawing on page 9). We’ll work with you to suggest suitable options for relocating manholes, where possible. Strategic sewers Strategic sewers are the most significant in our wastewater network, and we won’t allow some of them to be built over. You shouldn’t start work before getting our consent. If we need to agree amendments to your design, it’s difficult to do so if you’ve begun work, and could cause you additional costs or delays. Minor sewer diversions We may allow your contractor to divert a sewer with a diameter of 160mm or less, subject to the following: • A pre-construction CCTV survey • A post-construction inspection and CCTV survey You can request these by completing an approved build over application, showing your proposed diversion in your plans. Options on a new detached development In most cases, we won’t permit you to build over a sewer on a new detached development. We’ll instead require a sewer diversion, at your cost. The diversion process depends on the size of the pipe. Please call us on 0000 000 0000 for more information. If your proposals could affect a public sewer, you should first consider the following options: • Avoid the sewer by modifying your plans so that the buildings are at least 3 metres from the sewer. This is often the easiest and cheapest option. • If you can’t do this, we’ll usually require you to divert the sewer. In many cases, we’ll allow your contractor to do the work. Please call us on the above number if you want to discuss this option. New sewer connections If you’re connecting a property to the sewer for the first time or increasing the number of connections to the sewer, you may need further approval before you go ahead. We’ll need to check that the connection will work, and that it won’t cause problems like sewer flooding or pollution. We have legal duties around this, set out in Section 94 of the Water Industry Act 1991. As part of this approval you’ll need to give us details of the drain to be connected and how the connection will be made. You’ll be responsible for costs associated with the application and carrying out the connecti...
