Legal Duties. The Trustee shall exercise any of the foregoing powers from time to time as required by law.
Legal Duties a) An Employee will be granted paid leave if the Employee is called for jury duty or to act as a witness in a legal proceeding in which the Employee is not a party. However, the Employee shall be required to remit to the University any pay received for the fulfilment of these duties. If such pay is greater than their regular Salary, the University will reimburse the difference to the Employee.
b) An Employee will be granted paid leave if, in the course of their duties, the Employee is called upon to act as a witness in a legal proceeding in which the Employee is not a party.
c) If the presence of an Employee is required in a civil, administrative, or penal court, in a legal proceeding in which the Employee is a party, the Employee shall be entitled to make use of any accumulated vacation, banked overtime and/or may apply for a leave without pay.
d) When an Employee is required to be absent for one of the reasons provided for under this article, the Employee’s Supervisor must be informed as soon as possible. Proof or certification of the facts must be provided by an Employee if required by their Supervisor.
e) Social leaves will not be granted if they coincide with vacation or any other leave provided by the Collective Agreement, except for a leave provided for in clause 24.05 a) when an Employee is called upon to act as a witness in a legal proceeding in which the Employee is not a party but which pertains to University business.
f) Unless stipulated otherwise, for the purposes of article 24.05 “one (1) day of leave” is a full period of twenty-four (24) hours.

Employee acknowledges and agrees that Employee’s agreements herein are intended to implement certain of Employee’s duties under federal and state laws, such as California Labor Code section 2860, which provides: “Everything which an employee acquires by virtue of his employment, except the compensation which is due to him from his employer, belongs to the employer, whether acquired lawfully or unlawfully, or during or after the expiration of the term of his employment.” Nothing in this Agreement shall be interpreted or construed as limiting Employee’s obligations or the Company’s rights under any of such laws.

The Employee must provide the Principal Investigator or Immediate Supervisor with a copy of the summons or subpoena. If the presence of an Employee is required in a civil, administrative or penal court, in a legal proceeding in which the Employee is a party, the Employee is entitled to make use of any accumulated vacation or overtime or they may apply for an unpaid leave. The Employee must provide the Principal Investigator or Immediate Supervisor with a copy of the summons or subpoena.

The Governors and Staff of Xxxxxxxxx Xxxx High School acknowledge our duties under the Equality Act 2010 in respect of safeguarding and in respect of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We understand the principle of the Act and the work needed to ensure that those with protected characteristics are not discriminated against and are given equality of opportunity.
Legal Duties. There are broad legal duties imposed on officers and directors under state and federal law. These are the Duty of Care, the Duty of Loyalty and the Duty of Obedience. In general, board members are required to spend sufficient time with the business of the society to comply with their fiduciary duty of care and loyally serve the society’s best interests.
Legal Duties. You must fully co-operate with Us when We are carrying out any legal duty and give Us any information or help We may need, as long as We have given You reasonable notice. For example, You must allow Our employees or authorised agents to: a) speak to Your employees; and b) look at all the information, reports, financial accounts, documents and records You have or have access to; who or which are relevant to this Contract or the Goods and Services. You must also allow Us to take copies of the information referred to in clause 10.2b. We will treat any information You provide under this clause 10 as Confidential Information.
Legal Duties a) In the event that an employee is called to perform jury duty or to act as a witness in a case which he is not a party, he will not lose any regular salary as a result while he is required to act in this capacity. However, for each working day, the employee must give the University any pay received for the fulfilment of these duties. If the latter is greater that his regular salary, the University will reimburse him the difference.
b) If, in the course of his duties, an employee is called to act as a witness in a case to which he is not a party, he will not lose any regular salary while he is acting in this capacity. The employee will be paid at the overtime rate for the period during which his presence is required in court outside of his regular hours of work.
c) In the event that the presence of an employee is required in a civil, administrative, or penal court, in a case in which he is a party, he is eligible either for unpaid leave, or accumulated vacation or overtime accumulated by virtue of clause 19.05, or for a personal leave by virtue of clause 23.07.
a) When an employee must absent himself for one of the reasons provided for in this article, he must advise his superior as soon as possible, and provide proof or certification of these facts on demand.
b) The social leaves will not be granted if they coincide with any other leave or vacation provided in the present agreement.
c) Unless otherwise stipulated, the words "a day of leave" designate a full period of twenty-four (24) hours.
Legal Duties. 9.1. The Supplier must fully co-operate with HGL when HGL are carrying out any legal duty and give HGL any information or help it may need, as long as HGL has given the Supplier reasonable notice.
9.2. For example, the Supplier must allow HGL’s employees or authorised agents to:
a) speak to the Supplier’s employees; and
b) look at all the information, reports, financial accounts, documents and records the Supplier has or has access to; who or which are relevant to this Contract or the Goods and/or Services.
9.3. The Supplier must also allow HGL to take copies of the information referred to in clause 9.2.b) above.
9.4. HGL will treat any information the Supplier provides under this clause 9 as Confidential Information.
