Married Couples. The resident has the right to share a room with his or her spouse when married residents live in the same facility and both spouses consent to the arrangement.
Married Couples. Effective starting in the 2018-19 school year, in the case of two SPARK employees who are both covered by this agreement and married to each other, the couple may elect to have both employees participate in the VEBA program separately with one health insurance policy coverage as long as this election is cost neutral or may create a cost savings for the District. Should one or more individuals wish to operate a single OPTAVIA Coach business, then those individuals must create a Business Entity. Spouses will be treated as one business for recognition purposes with the exception that each spouse must take the certification training and pass the exam to be recognized as an “Independent Certified OPTAVIA Coach.” If only one spouse takes the training and passes the exam, only that spouse will be recognized as an “Independent Certified OPTAVIA Coach.” See the OPTAVIA Procedures for Details on Enrolling as a Married Couple.

Married Couples. Effective April 23, 2007: For active employees and future retirees, in the case of married couples where both spouses work for the City, or both spouses are retired from the City, or one spouse works for the City and one spouse is retired from the City, only one spouse will be eligible for a health insurance policy, dental policy and optical policy and may include the other spouse and dependents if eligible so long as they remain married. A spouse who is an employee and who is covered under his or her spouse’s policy will be eligible for an annual payment equal to $1300 for employees with 2-person coverage and $1600 for employees with family coverage, payable on a biweekly basis. This payment is not available to retirees.
