Maximum Length of Leave. The maximum period of time a Unit Member may spend on an unpaid leave of absence, regardless of purpose, is three years within a rolling ten year period.

Maximum Length of Leave. Length of leave is dependent on the court request. Any employee who is dismissed from jury duty during the work day is required to return to work as soon as reasonably possible unless alternative arrangements have been made.

  • Length of Leave Birth Mother A pregnant employee shall be entitled to up to seventeen (17) consecutive weeks of maternity leave and up to thirty-five (35) consecutive weeks of parental leave, all without pay. The parental leave must immediately follow the maternity leave. In the event the birth mother dies or is totally disabled, an employee who is the father of the child shall be entitled to both maternity and parental leave without pay.

  • Amount of Leave Bereavement leave shall not exceed three (3) workdays for the death of a member of the employee's immediate family. Also, an employee shall be entitled to use two (2) days of sick leave as bereavement leave.

  • Accrual of Leave (a) An employee’s entitlement to paid recreation leave accrues progressively during a year of service according to the employee’s ordinary hours of work.

  • Period of Leave (a) The period of leave will be for 12 months, from 1 January to 31 December.

  • Duration of Leave An eligible female employee may apply for pregnancy leave, to commence after the 22nd week of pregnancy for a duration of up to 17 weeks. The pregnancy leave of an employee who is not entitled to take parental leave ends on the later of the day that is seventeen weeks after the pregnancy leave began or the day that is six weeks after the birth, still-birth or miscarriage.

  • Types of Leave Employees shall be entitled to the following temporary noncumulative leaves of absence with full pay each school year.

  • Length of Probationary Period A. For all classifications, with the exception of those specified in 1801-B, the probationary period is 1,040 compensable hours exclusive of overtime. If federal, state or local law requires a longer probationary period, such law shall prevail. The probationary period for a less than full time employee shall equal the same number of hours (1,040) that have to be served by a full-time employee.

  • Jury Leave Upon written request, supported by a copy of the summons, an employee shall be granted leave paid at the rate of her full salary, less what the court pays for the performance of the required duties, to appear for or serve jury duty, provided that such appearance and/or service actually conflicts with her scheduled duties and provided that upon return to work she shall provide her supervisor with written confirmation of the date(s) and time(s) on which she appeared and/or served, signed by an appropriate official of the Court.

  • Extended Absences In the event Tenant will be away from the Premises for more than 7 consecutive days, Tenant agrees to notify Landlord in writing of such absence. During such absence, Landlord may enter the premises at times reasonable necessary to maintain the property and inspect for damages and needed repairs.
