Medical Control. The City and County acknowledge and agree that Med-Act and OPFD jointly will provide a plan for the provision of medical control, including quality assurance and improvement programs.
Medical Control. A. AGENCY’S Medical Director shall provide medical control to assure medical accountability throughout the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the EMS system in the COUNTY.
Medical Control. 1. DISTRICT will take all necessary actions to assure that its paramedics performance in the field complies with all applicable policies and procedures. It is DISTRICT’S responsibility to demonstrate compliance with such policies and procedures to the EMS Medical Director in all matters related to the medical performance of its paramedics.
Medical Control. Metro West Ambulance acknowledges that the State of Oregon, along with Washington County, have the authority to develop standards, plans, policies, rules, medical standards and protocols that establish the standards of emergency service and care within the County. Metro West Ambulance, its employees and any subcontractors, are subject to these standards. EMTs employed by Metro West Ambulance shall have as their physician supervisor, for the purposes of providing services under this Agreement, the EMS Medical Director designated by Washington County. The EMS Medical Director shall meet and fulfill all the requirements established for Physician Supervisors by the Oregon Medical Board (OMB) as set forth in the OMB’s Administrative Rules, OAR Chapter 847 Division 035. Metro West Ambulance shall not establish any relationship with any other medical professional for the purposes of medical direction or oversight, regarding services provided under this Agreement, without the permission of the County. Patient care shall be provided consistent with standards approved by rule and the County’s EMS Medical Director. A patient care form approved by the Medical Director/WCEO shall be completed and distributed as required by the County. Annually, an audit shall be submitted to the County listing instances of superior performance, performance problems identified through Metro West Ambulance’s quality improvement process, and medical procedures used and not used by Paramedics in the field. All system related quality improvement issues shall be referred to the County for review and resolution. Metro West Ambulance shall actively participate in, cooperate with and support the emergency medical services system’s quality improvement process. This shall include, but not be limited to, gathering data, submitting requested materials, providing committee members and leadership as requested, making system improvement suggestions to the County and maintaining a feedback loop, with the County, of actions taken upon its request. Metro West Ambulance shall provide the County with all data points on the Oregon Pre-hospital Data Base and Electronic Patient Care Report Form by an electronic means which allows the County to receive and manipulate the data. Medical Control. (a) The franchisee shall retain the services of a South Carolina licensed physician to function as its medical control physician to supervise the quality of service delivered by the franchisee.
Medical Control. 1) The control supervisor shall establish reasonable and customary fees negotiated with providers for service to employees including doctor visits, therapy and other injury related costs. The control supervisor shall direct all appointments after work hours when possible in accordance with the New Mexico Workers’ Compensation Act.
Medical Control. ETMC EMS shall provide Medical Direction for ETMC EMS personnel and, if so desired, will provide Medical Direction for all members of the Coalition.
Medical Control. If the Insured Person is hospitalised, the Zurich medical team will monitor his/her treatment and remain in contact with the responsible physician and the patient’s family whenever the clinical condition justifies this.
Medical Control. Provide for review and approval of EMS Agency policies/protocols/ guidelines as necessary. Assist with medical expertise for Agency task forces, and medical sub-committees as required for development of the above-referenced policies/protocols/guidelines. Work closely with county personnel, Public Health/LEMSA Director, LEMSA Administrator and constituency groups to ensure the highest clinical standards. Work closely with area hospitals to coordinate care and to ensure a smooth interface of patient care at the hospital. Ensure that the EMS System provides state-of-the-art, safe care to the county’s citizens and visitors. Ensure excellent clinical care through chart review, direct observation, quality assurance/improvement processes and data analysis.
Medical Control. The Great Falls EMS 911 System Medical Director has the exclusive authority to develop overall medical plans, policies and medical standards to assure that an effective level of emergency medical care is maintained within the City pre-hospital care 911 system and shall provide ultimate medical control over the entire EMS system to include the Contractor and Subcontractor’s EMS personnel while operating within the EMS 911 system pursuant to their licensures or certifications. On all matters affecting the quality of patient care, the EMS 911 System Medical Director directs policy and procedure. The EMS 911 System Medical Director has system-wide scope of authority, which covers all organizations and personnel that have a role in the City’s 911EMS system.
