Near vision, corrected or uncorrected, must be sufficient to read Xxxxxx Type 2 at 14 inches. Must be able to distinguish basic peripheral vision and must not be colorblind. Hearing: Must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear. Using an audiometer for measurement, there should be no loss of 30 or more decibels in each ear at 500, 1000, and 2000 CPA levels. Speech: Must be able to speak clearly and distinctly. Any disease or condition that significantly interferes with the individual’s ability to speak is a disqualifying factor.
Medical Standards. ‌ A. FAA Medical Certification 1. The medical standards required of a Pilot shall be those established by the FAA, including its waiver policy. Each pilot must maintain a first class FAA Medical Certificate. However, First Officers may obtain such Medical Certificate every twelve (12) months unless covered by a more restrictive FAR. 2. A Pilot must electronically submit a copy of his FAA medical Certificate to the Company by the twenty-fifth (25th) Day of the Month in which his Medical Certificate expires. A Pilot who will obtain his Medical Certificate after this deadline, and before the end of the Month, shall notify the System Chief Pilot or designee of such circumstances before the twenty- fifth (25th) Day of the Month. Such Pilot shall be eligible for a Duty assignment that ends prior to the expiration of his current Medical Certificate. If a Pilot fails to notify the System Chief Pilot or his designee of his inability to obtain his medical Certificate by the twenty-fifth (25th) day of the Month, as provided herein, he may be removed from service without pay until he provides the System Chief Pilot with a copy of his Medical Certificate. 3. Any Pilot who fails to pass an examination by an Aviation Medical Examiner (“AME”) shall promptly notify the System Chief Pilot and Crew Scheduling. Such Pilot shall be removed from Duty without pay. However, such Pilot may utilize any accrued sick time, as provided in Section 10, Sick, and receive, if eligible, short-term disability benefits, long-term disability benefits, and/or workers’ compensation benefits, or be placed on a Medical Leave of Absence, as provided in Section 8, Leaves of Absence. Such Pilot may have a review of his case in accordance with the FARs and shall be responsible for all costs associated with such review and the costs of any subsequent reinstatement of his Medical Certificate, except as provided elsewhere in this Agreement.

Medical Standards. A. Medical Examinations 1. A PFE will not be required to submit to a medical examination in addition to those required by the FAA unless the Company believes that the PFE's health or physical condition is impaired and believes that the PFE may not be fit to fly as a result thereof. 2. If the Company questions the fitness of a PFE for duty, the Company may require the PFE to submit to a medical examination by a Company designated medical examiner and will notify the PFE in writing of such requirement. The PFE will be furnished a copy of the medical examiner's report. The cost of any such examination shall be borne exclusively by the Company. 3. A PFE asking to return to duty after being medically disqualified by his own physician may be asked to provide a physician's statement as to fitness for duty at the PFE's expense. 4. The Company will notify the PFE of any medical matters concerning the PFE that it intends to initiate with the FAA.
Medical Standards. A Medical Examinations A Pilot will not be required to submit to a medical examination in addition to those required by the FAA unless the Company believes that the Pilot's medical condition is impaired and believes the Pilot may not be fit to fly as a result thereof. .1 When an additional medical examination is required, the Pilot will be notified in writing of the reason. A Company required medical examination shall be performed by a Company designated examiner. .2 Any additional medical examination or tests required by the Company shall be paid for by the Company. However, a Pilot asking to return to duty after being medically disqualified by his own medical examiner will, upon request, provide a medical examiner’s statement as to fitness for duty at the Pilot's expense. .3 A medical examiner’s report of examination shall include a determination as to whether the Pilot is able to perform Pilot duties, from a medical standpoint. A copy of the report of such examination shall be furnished to the Pilot, upon request. .4 The Company shall notify the Pilot of any medical matters concerning the Pilot that it intends to initiate with the FAA.
Medical Standards. 5.2.2.1 Contractor shall require PSOs to undergo a pre-employment medical/physical examination and every three years thereafter. A licensed physician shall administer examinations and document results on Medical Questionnaire (Exhibit 7). 5.2.2.2 Contractor shall ensure a licensed physician fully and accurately completes Sections 2 and 3 of PSO Medical Questionnaire, as based on medical standards and essential job functions set forth under this contract. PSOs must meet health certification requirements listed in PSO Medical Questionnaire. 5.2.2.3 PSOs must meet following medical standards: 5.2.2.3.1 Vision: Applicant must have binocular vision and must not test less than 20/30 (Snellen). An applicant who has undergone a Radial Keratotomy or laser correction procedure to correct his or her vision to an acceptable level is medically qualified for this position. Near vision, corrected or uncorrected, must be sufficient to read Xxxxxx Number 2 or equivalent type and size letter at a distance of no less than 12 inches on a standard Xxxxxx chart. Applicant must have normal color vision.
