Miramichi Lodge. Additional tours which become available will be equitably distributed singularly and in descending order of seniority to regular part time nurses. Additional shifts which become available will be offered to regular part time nurses by seniority.

Miramichi Lodge. Part-time nurses shall have every second weekend off wherever possible. Bonnechere Manor Part-time Nurses shall have every second weekend off wherever possible unless mutually agreed otherwise.
Miramichi Lodge. The Employer will provide pension coverage for full-time nurses under the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement Act. Where a full-time nurse transfers or exercises seniority rights to a part-time position, such O.M.E.R.S. contributions as the Employer may be required to continue to pay shall be deducted from the amount paid to the employee in lieu of benefits.

Miramichi Lodge. Sick leave credits accumulated under the previous sick leave program shall be banked and on termination payment at the nurse's then current salary will be made for one half (1/2) of all banked credits up to a maximum of six (6) months salary (130 working days). In the case of death, payment shall be to the nurse's estate. The Employer will notify each nurse of the amount of her/his sick leave credits. Effective the date that the new short-term/long term disability plans are established, the accumulation of unused sick leave credits shall be discontinued. Existing sick leave credits for each nurse shall be banked and on termination payment at the nurse’s then current salary will be made for one-half of all banked credits up to a maximum of six (6) months salary (one hundred and thirty (130) working days). In the case of death, payment shall be to the nurse’s estate. The Employer will notify each nurse of the amount of her sick leave credits.

  • Dewatering (a) Where the whole of a site is so affected by surface water following a period of rain that all productive work is suspended by agreement of the Parties, then dewatering shall proceed as above with Employees so engaged being paid at penalty rates as is the case for safety rectification work. This work is typically performed by Employees engaged within CW1, CW2 or CW3 classifications. When other Employees are undertaking productive work in an area or areas not so affected then dewatering will only attract single time rates. (b) Where a part of a site is affected by surface water following a period of rain, thus rendering some areas unsafe for productive work, consistent with the Employer’s obligations under the OH&S Act, appropriate Employees shall assist in the tidying up of their own work site or area if it is so affected. Where required, appropriate Employees will be provided with the appropriate PPE. Such work to be paid at single time rates. Productive work will continue in areas not so affected. (c) To avoid any confusion any ‘dewatering’ time which prevents an Employee from being engaged in their normal productive work is not included in any calculation for the purposes of determining whether an Employee is entitled to go home due to wet weather (refer clauses 32.4 and 32.5)
