Full-time Vacation Entitlement. The duration of the vacation shall be based on the length of seniority service on December 31st of the calendar year in which vacation is granted as follows: Length of Seniority Length of Vacation 1 year but less than 4 years 80 hours 4 years but less than 10 years 120 hours 10 years but less than 15 years 160 hours 15 years but less than 22 years 200 hours 22 years and greater 240 hours
Full-time Vacation Entitlement. All full-time employees shall receive vacations with pay based on length of full- time continuous service as follows:
(a) Employees who have completed less than one (1) year of continuous service as of March 31 shall be entitled to a vacation on the basis of .83 days for each completed month of service.
(b) Employees who have completed one (1) year but less than five (5) years of continuous service as of March 31 shall be entitled to an annual vacation of three (3) weeks with pay provided the employee works or receives paid leave for a total of at least 1525 hours in the vacation year.
(c) Employees who have completed five (5) or more years of continuous service as of March 31 shall be entitled to an annual vacation of four (4) weeks with pay, provided the employee works or receives paid leave for a total of at least 1525 hours in the vacation year.
(d) Employees who have completed five (5) years but less than thirteen (13) or more years of continuous service as of March 31 shall be entitled to an annual vacation of four (4) weeks with pay, provided the employee works or receives paid leave for a total of at least 1525 hours in the vacation year.
(e) If an employee works or receives paid leave for less than 1525 hours in the vacation year she/he will receive vacation pay based on a percentage of her/his gross salary paid for work performed in the vacation year on the following basis: 2 week entitlement - 4% 3 week entitlement - 6% 4 week entitlement - 8%
Full-time Vacation Entitlement. Full-time employees shall be entitled to vacation on the following basis:
(a) At commencement of employment, a full-time employee shall accrue 5.38 hours (4 weeks) of vacation credits per pay period of active employment;
(b) After thirteen (13) years of service, as adjusted by Article 13.12, a full- time employee shall accrue 6.73 hours (5 weeks) of vacation credits per pay period of active employment;
(c) After twenty-three (23) years of service, as adjusted by Article 13.12, a full-time employee shall accrue 8.08 hours (6 weeks) of vacation credits per pay period of active employment;
(d) Effective April 1, 2013, after twenty-one (21) years of service, as adjusted by Article 9.06 a full-time employee shall accrue 8.08 hours (6 weeks) of vacation credits per pay period of active employment;
(e) A full-time employee’s vacation credit bank shall not accumulate more than forty (40) pay periods of vacation credits. After such accumulation, the employee shall be required to take vacation days to ensure the maximum is not exceeded.
(f) A full-time employee will be entitled to borrow up to ten (ten) vacation days from the current year’s entitlement during the course of the current year.

(e) Employees who have completed thirteen (13) years but less than twenty- two (22) years or more of continuous service as of April 30 shall be entitled to an annual vacation of five (5) weeks with pay, provided the employee works or receives paid leave for a total of at least 1525 hours in the vacation year.
(f) Employees who have completed twenty-two (22) years or more of continuous service as of April 30 shall be entitled to an annual vacation of six (6) weeks with pay, provided the employee works or receives paid leave for a total of at least 1525 hours in the vacation year.
(g) If an employee works or receives paid leave for less than 1525 hours in the vacation year she/he will receive vacation pay based on a percentage of her/his gross salary paid for work performed in the vacation year on the following basis: 2 week entitlement - 4% 3 week entitlement - 6% 4 week entitlement - 8% 5 week entitlement - 10% 6 week entitlement - 12%
(h) Effective April 15, 2004, the following supplementary vacation is banked on the employee’s anniversary date and taken prior to the next supplementary vacation date: An employee who has completed thirty (30) years of continuous service shall be entitled to an additional five (5) days vacation, with pay. Full-time Vacation Entitlement.
(a) Full-time employees who have completed less than one (1) year employment with the Employer as of 31 December in any year shall be entitled to a vacation in the calendar year following on the basis set out in the Employment Standards Act;
(b) Full-time employees who have completed one (1) year or more of employment with the Employer as of 31 December in any year shall be entitled to a three (3) weeks vacation with pay;
(c) Full-time employees who have completed six (6) years or more of employment with the Employer as of 31 December in any year shall be entitled to a four (4) weeks vacation with pay;
(d) Full-time employees who have completed ten (10) years or more of employment with the Employer as of 31 December in any year shall be entitled to a five (5) weeks vacation with pay;
(e) Full-time employees who have completed fifteen (15) years or more of employment with the Employer as of 31 December in any year shall be entitled to a six (6) weeks vacation with pay;
(f) Effective January 1st, 2005 vacation pay will be given at the employee’s current rate of pay in effect at the time vacation is taken.
(g) Employees are entitled to carry over up to one (1) weeks’ vacation entitlement into the next year, without requiring permission of the CAO. Employees are allowed to carry over up to one (1) year paid vacation entitlement to the next year in accordance with Employer's vacation management procedures.
(h) Vacation entitlements on the employee’s anniversary year shall be pro- rated for the year and advanced on January 1.
(i) Employees’ vacation entitlements shall be advanced on January 1 of each year. Employees who leave during the year shall be required to pay back any vacation advances taken but not yet earned. It is agreed that such deduction if any will be made from the employee’s final pay cheque.
