NAMED HOLIDAYS. 19.01 Full time Employees shall be eligible to receive a day off with pay on or for the following Named Holidays: (i) New Year's Day (vi) August Civic Holiday (ii) Alberta Family Day (vii) Labour Day (iii) Good Friday (viii) Thanksgiving Day (iv) Victoria Day (ix) Remembrance Day (v) Canada Day (x) Christmas Day (xi) Boxing Day and all general holidays proclaimed to be a Statutory Holiday by any of the following: (a) the Municipality of Calgary; (b) the Province of Alberta; or (c) the Government of Canada. 19.02 In addition to the foregoing Named Holidays, Full-time Employees who are in employment with the Employer as of April 1st, shall be granted an additional holiday as a “Floater” holiday, until an additional Named Holiday is proclaimed by any of the authorities named in Clause 19.01(a), (b) or (c) above at which time the Floater holiday will be replaced by the new Named Holiday and will be subject to the provisions of this Article. The Floater Holiday will be scheduled by mutual agreement between the Employer and Employee. If the holiday is not taken by the last day of December in any given year, it shall be paid out. 19.03 To qualify for a Named Holiday with pay, the Full-time Employee: (a) must work their scheduled shift immediately prior to and immediately following the holiday, except where the Employee is absent due to illness, or other reasons acceptable to the Employer; and (b) must work on the holiday when scheduled or required to do so. (a) No payment shall be due for a Named Holiday which occurs during: (i) a lay-off; or (ii) all forms of leave during which an Employee is not paid. (b) No additional payment shall be due for a Named Holiday that occurs during a period when an Employee is receiving Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability or Workers’ Compensation benefits. 19.05 An Employee obliged in the course of duty to work on a Named Holiday shall be paid for all hours worked on the Named Holiday at one and one- half times (11/2X) their basic rate of pay plus: (a) one (1) days pay; or (b) an alternate day off at a mutually agreed time; or (c) by mutual agreement, a day added to their next annual vacation; or (d) failing mutual agreement within thirty (30) calendar days as to the option to be applied, it shall be deemed that payment of one (1) days pay at the basic rate of pay is desired; and (e) compensating time off, at their basic rate of pay, for all hours worked in excess of seven and three quarter (73/4) hours. 19.06 (a) Time worked shall be deemed to have been worked on the day on which the majority of hours of the shift fall.

This Christmas Float Holiday shall be observed during the regular Christmas school holiday period, and (c) All Employees are entitled to three (3) paid days off to be taken between Christmas and New Year’s except where operational requirements do not permit. Days off shall be designated by the Employer. 10.02 Should any of the holidays listed in 10.01 (a) fall on a weekend, or on an employee’s regular day off, the Employee, shall receive an extra day’s holiday to be taken at a time approved by the Chief Superintendent or the Employee shall receive a regular day’s pay. Part time Employees working less than five (5) days per week shall receive extra holiday credits on a pro rata basis according to the foregoing Named Holidaysnumber of days and hours they actually work. 10.03 Church holidays, Full-time Employees who are in employment with the Employer as of April 1stor any other special holidays, shall be granted observed at the discretion of the Employer . 10.04 Requests for leave without pay on religious holidays will be considered, provided adequate notice of the request is given. 10.05 When an additional holiday as Employee is called back to work on a “Floater” paid holiday, until an additional Named Holiday is proclaimed by any of the authorities named they shall be compensated in Clause 19.01(a), (b) or (c) above at which time the Floater holiday will be replaced by the new Named Holiday and will be subject to accordance with the provisions of this the Overtime Article. (b) An Employee granted Christmas Day off in accordance with Clause 18.05(a) shall be scheduled such that the Employee shall have two (2) consecutive days where the Employee will not be obliged to work (i.e., December 24th and 25th or December 25th and 26th); or (c) An Employee granted New Year's Day off in accordance with Clause 18.05(a) shall be scheduled such that the Employee shall have two (2) consecutive days where the Employee shall not be obliged to work (i.e., December 31st and January 1st or January 1st and 2nd). 18.06 Part-time and Casual Employees shall be paid in addition to their Regular Rate of Pay five percent (5%) of the Employee’s wages, Named Holiday that occurs during a period when an Employee is receiving Short Term Disabilitypay and vacation pay earned in the nine (9) weeks immediately preceding the Named Holiday, Long Term Disability or Workers’ Compensation benefitsin lieu of the aforementioned Named Holidays. 19.05 An Employee obliged 18.07 All Employees shall be paid for all overtime hours worked on a named holiday 2.5X their Regular Rate of Pay. 18.08 In addition to the entitlement referenced in the course of duty to Clause 18.06, Part-time and Casual Employees who work on a Named Holiday shall be paid the rate of one point five times (1.5X) the Employee’s Regular Rate of Pay for all hours worked on the Named Holiday at one and one- half times (11/2X) their basic rate of pay plus: (a) one (1) days pay; or (b) an alternate day off at a mutually agreed time; or (c) by mutual agreement, a day added to their next annual vacation; or (d) failing mutual agreement within thirty (30) calendar days as up to the option to be applied, it shall be deemed that payment of one (1) days pay at the basic rate of pay is desired; and (e) compensating full-time off, at their basic rate of pay, for all hours worked stipulated in excess of seven and three quarter (73/4) hoursArticle 12 – Hours. 19.06 (a) Time worked shall be deemed to have been worked on the day on which the majority of hours of the shift fall.

(b) No additional payment banked Named Holiday days or hours may be paid out at the request of the employee prior to the first pay period in March in any given year. (a) Unless an Employee requests otherwise in writing, and this request is approved by administration, the Employee shall be due for a scheduled so as to be given either Christmas Day or New Year’s Day off, but not necessarily both. NAMED HOLIDAYS. 19.01 Full time Employees shall be eligible 25.01 Any reference to receive a day off with pay on or for Named Holidays in this Collective Agreement applies to the following Named Holidays: (i) days: New Year's ’s Day (vi) August Civic Holiday (ii) Labour Day Alberta Family Day (vii) Labour Day (iii) Thanksgiving Day Good Friday (viii) Thanksgiving Day (iv) Remembrance Day Victoria Day (ix) Remembrance Day (v) Christmas Day Canada Day (x) Christmas Day (xi) Boxing Day August Civic Holiday and all general holidays proclaimed to be a Statutory Holiday statutory holiday by any of the followingfollowing levels of Governmental authority: (a) the Municipality of CalgaryMunicipal Government in which the institu- tion is located; (b) the Province of Alberta; or (c) the Government of Canada. 19.02 In addition to . Provided that the foregoing Named Holidays, Full-time Employees who are in employment with the Employer as of April 1st, August Civic Holiday shall not be granted an additional holiday as a “Floater” holiday, until an additional Named Holiday is proclaimed by any of the authorities named in Clause 19.01(a), (b) or (c) above at which time the Floater holiday will be replaced by the new Named Holiday and will be subject to the provisions of this Article. The Floater Holiday will be scheduled by mutual agreement between the Employer and Employee. If the holiday is not taken by the last day of December in any given year, it shall be paid out. 19.03 To qualify for considered a Named Holiday with pay, even if the Full-time EmployeeMunicipality declares it to be so. 25.02 No payment shall be due for the Named Holiday which occurs during: (a) must work their a layoff; or (b) all forms of leave during which a regular employ- ee is not paid; or (c) an absence while in receipt of disability insurance or Worker’s Compensation Benefits. 25.03 “Floater” Holiday 25.04 A full-time employee shall be entitled to a day off with pay on or for a Named Holiday provided she: (a) works her scheduled shift immediately prior to and immediately following the holiday, Holiday except where the Employee employee is absent due to illness, illness or other reasons acceptable to the Employer; and; (b) must work works on the holiday Named Holiday when scheduled or required to do so. (a) No payment shall be due for 25.05 Subject to Article 17.01 a Named Holiday which occurs during: (i) a layfull-off; or (ii) all forms of leave during which an Employee is not paid. (b) No additional payment shall be due for a Named Holiday that occurs during a period when an Employee is receiving Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability or Workers’ Compensation benefits. 19.05 An Employee obliged in the course of duty to work time employee who works on a Named Holiday shall be paid for all regu- larly scheduled hours worked on the Named Holiday at one and one- one-half times (11/2X1 1/2X) their the basic rate of pay plus: (a) one (1) days pay; or (b) an alternate day off at a mutually agreed time; or (c) by mutual agreement, a day added to their the full-time employee’s next annual vacation, or (b) a mutually agreeable day off with pay in conjunc- tion with the full-time employee’s regular days off within thirty (30) days either before or after the Named Holiday; or (c) one (1) regular days pay. 25.06 Subject to Article 25.04 when a Named Holiday falls during a full-time employee’s annual vacation the employee shall receive: (a) by mutual agreement, a day off with pay added to the full-time employee’s annual vacation; or (b) a mutually agreeable day off with pay in conjunc- tion with the full-time employee’s regular days off within thirty (30) calendar days of the full- time employee’s return from annual vacation; or (c) one (1) days regular pay in lieu of the Named Holiday. 25.07 When a Named Holiday falls on a full-time employee’s regularly scheduled day off, the full-time employee shall receive: (a) by mutual agreement a day off with pay added to the full-time employee’s next annual vacation; or (db) failing mutual agreement a mutually agreeable day off with pay in conjunc- tion with the full-time employee’s regular days off within thirty (30) calendar days as to days, either before or after the option to be applied, it shall be deemed that payment of Named Holiday; or (c) one (1) regular days pay at in lieu of the basic rate Named Holiday. 25.08 When a Named Holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the Employer may designate the Friday prior or the Monday after the Named Holiday as the day off in lieu of pay the Named Holiday. If such designated day off is desired; and (e) compensating a full-time employee’s regularly scheduled day off, at their basic rate such employee shall then be entitled to the provisions of pay, for all hours worked in excess of seven and three quarter (73/4) hoursArticle 25.07. 19.06 (a) Time worked shall be deemed to have been worked on the day on which the majority of hours of the shift fall.

(a) No payment shall be due for a Named Holiday which occurs during: (i) a lay25.05 A Full-off; or (ii) all forms of leave during which an Time Employee is not paid. (b) No additional payment shall be due for a Named Holiday that occurs during a period when an Employee is receiving Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability or Workers’ Compensation benefits. 19.05 An Employee obliged in the course of duty to work who works on a Named Holiday shall be paid for all regularly scheduled hours worked on the Named Holiday at one and one- one-half times (11/2X1 1/ 2X) their the basic rate of pay plus: (a) one (1) days pay; or (b) an alternate day off at a mutually agreed time; or (c) by mutual agreement, a day added to their the Employee’s next annual vacation, or (b) a mutually agreeable day off with pay in conjunction with the Employee’s regular days off within thirty (30) days after the Named Holiday; or (c) one (1) regular day’s pay. 25.06 Subject to Article 25.04 when a Named Holiday falls during a Full-Time Employee’s annual vacation the Employee shall receive: (a) by mutual agreement, a day off with pay added to the Employee’s annual vacation; or (b) a mutually agreeable day off with pay in conjunction with the Employee’s regular days off within thirty (30) calendar days of the Employee’s return from annual vacation; or (c) one (1) day’s regular pay in lieu of the Named Holiday. 25.07 When a Named Holiday falls on a Full-Time Employee’s regularly scheduled day off, the Employee shall receive: (a) by mutual agreement a day off with pay added to the Employee’s next annual vacation; or (db) failing mutual agreement a mutually agreeable day off with pay in conjunction with the Employee’s regular days off within thirty (30) calendar days as to or after the option to be applied, it shall be deemed that payment of Named Holiday; or (c) one (1) regular day's pay in lieu of the Named Holiday. 25.08 If the Employer designates a common date for the day off with pay in lieu of a Named Holiday which falls on a Saturday or Sunday, such common date shall be designated by way of notice posted in the Base Office at least six (6) months prior to the occurrence of the Named Holiday. (i) A Full-Time Employee granted Christmas Day off in accordance with Article 25.09(a) shall be scheduled such that she shall have three (3) consecutive days where she will not be obliged to work (i.e., December 23 rd, 24th and 25 th or December 24 th, 25th and 26 th); and (ii) A Full-Time Employee granted New Year's Day off in accordance with Article 25.09(a) shall be scheduled such that she shall have three (3) consecutive days where she shall not be obliged to work (i.e., December 30 th, 31st and January 1 st or December 31 st, January 1 st and 2 nd). 25.10 Part-Time Employees (a) A Part-Time Employee who works on a Named Holiday (not the designated day off in lieu as per Article 25.08) shall be paid the rate of one and one-half times (1 1/ 2 X) her basic rate of pay for all hours worked up to seven (7) hours. NAMED HOLIDAYS. 19.01 Full 18.01 (a) Full-time Employees shall be eligible to receive a day off with pay on or for the following Named Holidays: (i) : New Year's ’s Day (vi) August Civic Holiday (ii) Labour Day Alberta Family Day (vii) Labour Day (iii) Thanksgiving Day Good Friday (viii) Thanksgiving Day (iv) Remembrance Day Victoria Day (ix) Remembrance Day (v) Christmas Day Canada Day (x) Christmas Day (xi) Boxing Day August Civic Day and all general holidays any other Holiday proclaimed to be a Statutory Holiday by any the Parliament of the following: (a) the Municipality of Calgary; (b) the Canada or Province of Alberta; or (c) the Government of Canada. 19.02 In addition to the foregoing Named Holidays, Full-time Employees who are in employment with the Employer as of April 1st, shall be granted an additional holiday as a “Floater” holiday, until an additional Named Holiday is proclaimed by any of the authorities named in Clause 19.01(a), (b) or (c) above at which time the Floater holiday will be replaced by the new Named Holiday and will be subject to the provisions of this Article. The Floater Holiday will be scheduled by mutual agreement between the Employer and Employee. If the holiday is not taken by the last day of December in any given year, it shall be paid out. 19.03 18.02 To qualify for a Named Holiday with pay, the Full-time EmployeeEmployee must: (a) must work their her or his scheduled shift Shift immediately prior to and immediately following the holiday, holiday except where the Employee is absent due to illness, illness or other reasons acceptable to the Employer; and; (b) must work on the holiday when scheduled or required to do so. (a) No payment shall be due for a Named Holiday which occurs during: (i) a lay-off; or (ii) all forms of leave during which an Employee is not paid. (b) No additional payment shall be due for a Named Holiday that occurs during a period when an Employee is receiving Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability or Workers’ Compensation benefits. 19.05 An Employee obliged in the course of duty to work on a Named Holiday shall be paid for all the first seven point seven five (7.75) hours worked on the Named Holiday at one and one- a half times (11/2X1½X) their basic rate the Employee’s Basic Rate of pay Pay, any additional hours worked shall be paid at two times (2X) Basic Rate of Pay, plus: (a) one (1) days pay; or (bi) an alternate day off at a mutually agreed time; or (cii) by mutual agreement, a day added to their the Employee’s next annual vacation; or (diii) failing by mutual agreement, the Employee may receive payment for such day at the Employee’s Basic Rate of Pay. (b) The Employer shall not schedule the alternate day off with pay as provided in Article 18.03(a)(i) and (ii) until such time as the Employee and Employer have endeavoured to agree on the date of the alternate day off. Failing mutual agreement within thirty (30) 30 calendar days as to following the Named Holiday of the option to be applied, it the Employee shall have a day off with pay scheduled adjacent to a scheduled day of rest. 18.04 When a Named Holiday falls on a day that would otherwise be an Employee’s regularly scheduled day of rest, the Employee shall receive an alternate day off as outlined in Article 18.03 above. 18.05 When a Named Holiday falls during an Employee’s annual vacation, such holiday may, by mutual agreement, be added to the vacation period, or the alternate day off shall be deemed that payment of one (1) days pay at the basic rate of pay is desired; and (e) compensating time off, at their basic rate of pay, for all hours worked dealt with as set out in excess of seven and three quarter (73/4) hoursArticle 18.03. 19.06 (a) Time worked shall be deemed to have been worked on the day on which the majority of hours of the shift fall.

(c) Pay for the day referred in Article 17.03(a)(i)(ii)(iii) shall be for 7.5 hours. (d) failing The Employer shall not schedule the alternate day until such time as the Employee and Employer have endeavoured to agree on the date of the alternate day off. In addition to the foregoing Named Holidays, Fullregular full-time and temporary full time Employees who are employed on or before September 1 in employment with the Employer as of April 1st, shall any calendar year will be granted an additional holiday holiday, as a “Floater” holiday, until an additional Named Float Holiday is proclaimed by any of the authorities named in Clause 19.01(a), (b) or (c) above at which time the Floater holiday that year. Such Holiday will be replaced requested in writing by the new Named Holiday Employee and will be subject to the provisions of this Article. The Floater Holiday will be scheduled at a time mutually agreed upon by mutual agreement between the Employer and the Employee. Whenever possible, the Float Holiday must be taken prior to utilizing any annual vacation leave. (f) For the purposes of the day designated as the Named Holiday corresponding to Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve, such days shall be alternated from one year to the next. For the purpose of implementation, the initial designation shall be deemed to have been in 2005. 14.04 When a Named Holiday falls on a day that would otherwise be an Employee’s regular scheduled day off, the Employee shall receive an alternate day off with pay as outlined in Article 14.03(b). 14.05 When a Named Holiday falls during an Employee’s annual vacation, such holiday(s) may, by mutual agreement, be added to the vacation period, or if this is not possible, the Employee shall be granted another day or other days off in lieu thereof. Such day(s) in lieu shall be granted within thirty (30) days of return to work from vacation unless otherwise requested by the Employee and agreed to by the Employer. 14.06 The Employer shall endeavour to rotate, as equitably as possible, amongst Employees in classifications, the requirement to work on a Named Holiday. (a) On each pay cheque, regular part-time, temporary part-time and casual Employees shall be paid, in addition to their regular rate of pay, five per cent (5%) of their gross regular earnings (excluding overtime and callback hours) in lieu of scheduled named holidays. (b) Regular part-time, temporary part-time and casual Employees required to work on a scheduled named holiday shall be paid at two times (2X) their basic rate of pay for all hours worked on such holiday(s). (c) Where a regular part time, temporary part time or casual Employee is scheduled and works Christmas Eve or New Years Eve and such day is designated by the Employer as the Named Holiday in that year, it is agreed that hours worked on such day will be eligible for the premium payment outlined in 14.07 (b) above. (d) For the purposes of the day on which designated as the majority Named Holiday corresponding to Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve, such days shall be alternated from one year to the next. (i) An Employee granted Christmas Day off in accordance with clause 18.06(a) shall be scheduled such that the majority of hours of Employee shall have two (2) consecutive days where he/she will not be obliged to work (i.e., December 24 and 25, or December 25-26). (ii) An Employee granted New Year’s Day off in accordance with clause 18.06(a) shall be scheduled such that the shift fallEmployee shall have two (2) consecutive days where he/she will not be obliged to work (i.e., December 31 and January 1, or January 1-2). (c) Unless otherwise requested by the Employee, the Employer will endeavour that no Employee shall be scheduled to work Christmas Day for two (2) consecutive years.

(bf) No additional payment shall be due for a Named Holiday that occurs during a period when an Ineligible Employee who works on day of the holiday: Employee is receiving Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability or Workers’ Compensation benefits. 19.05 An Employee obliged in the course of duty entitled to work on a Named Holiday shall be paid at regular rates of pay for all hours worked on worked. 20.06 All Employees who work an irregular work schedule will be paid according to the Named Holiday at one and one- half times (11/2X) their basic rate of pay plusfollowing guidelines: (a) one (1) days pay; or (b) an alternate day off If during at a mutually agreed time; or (c) by mutual agreementleast five of the last nine weeks, a day added to their next annual vacation; or (d) failing mutual agreement within thirty (30) calendar days as to the option to be applied, it shall be deemed that payment of one (1) days pay at the basic rate of pay is desired; and (e) compensating time off, at their basic rate of pay, for all hours worked in excess of seven and three quarter (73/4) hours. 19.06 (a) Time worked shall be deemed to have been Employee regularly worked on the day on which the majority of hours of the shift fallweek that the general holiday falls, the holiday is to be considered a day that would normally have been a workday for the Employee and paid accordingly. 20.07 If a general holiday falls during an Employee’s annual paid vacation, and it falls on a day that the Employee would normally have worked, the paid vacation will be extended by one day. NAMED HOLIDAYS. 19.01 Full 24.01 Full-time Employees shall be eligible to receive a day off with pay on or for the following Named Holidays: (i) : New Year's Day (vi) August Civic Holiday (ii) Holiday Alberta Family Day (vii) Labour Day (iii) Day Good Friday (viii) Thanksgiving Day (iv) Day Easter Monday Remembrance Day Victoria Day (ix) Remembrance Day (v) Christmas Day Canada Day Two (x2) Christmas Day Float Days The two (xi2) Boxing Day Float Days shall be taken at a time mutually agreed upon by the Employee and all general holidays proclaimed the Employer. Agreement to the Employees preference as to the choice of Float Days will not be a Statutory Holiday unreasonably withheld.
