News Media Relations. CONTRACTOR shall notify the City Representative by 33 Fax, e-mail or phone of all requests for news media interviews related to the Collection Services 34 program within twenty-four (24) hours of CONTRACTOR’S receipt of the request. Before 35 responding to any inquiries involving controversial issues or any issues likely to affect 36 participation or Service Recipient perception of services, CONTRACTOR will discuss 37 CONTRACTOR’S proposed response with the City Representative.
38 15.05.1 Copies of draft news releases or proposed trade journal articles 39 shall be submitted to CITY for prior review and approval at least five (5) Work Days in advance 40 of release, except where CONTRACTOR is required by any law or regulation to submit 41 materials to any regulatory agency in a shorter period of time, in which case CONTRACTOR 42 shall submit such materials to CITY simultaneously with CONTRACTOR’S submittal to such 43 regulatory agency.
44 15.05.2 Copies of articles resulting from media interviews or news 45 releases shall be provided to the CITY within five (5) Work Days after publication.
News Media Relations a. The interests of the news media must be balanced with the requirements of the investigation and with the rights of the involved individuals.
b. While any agency cannot be prohibited from making statements to the news media about an incident, these guidelines are established:
i. The Venue Agency Chief or designee has the responsibility for making press releases about the Incident and its investigation until such time as the matter is referred to the County Attorney’s Office.
ii. The Incident Manager will provide the Venue Agency with information from which a press release can be made.
iii. Other participants in the investigation should refrain from making separate press releases or discussing the investigation with the press. If the Employer Agency is not also the Venue Agency, fewer problems will arise, especially at the early stages of the investigation, if the Employer Agency limits its comments to information which has been cleared for release by the Venue Agency.
News Media Relations. Franchisee will notify the Director by telephone of all requests for news media interviews or statements related to the Franchise Services within twenty-four (24) hours of Franchisee’s receipt of the request. Before responding to any inquiries involving issues other than those relating to descriptions of Collection programs and scope of Franchise Services, Franchisee will discuss Franchisee’s proposed response with County. Franchisee will submit copies of Franchisee’s draft news releases or proposed trade journal articles to County for prior review and approval at least five (5) County Working Days in advance of release. Franchisee will provide copies of articles resulting from media interviews or news releases to County within (7) days after publication.
News Media Relations. Contractor shall notify the City Contract Manager by e-mail of all requests for news media interviews related to the Collection services program within twenty-four (24) hours of Contractor’s receipt of the request. Before responding to any inquiries involving controversial issues or any issues likely to affect participation or Customer perception of services, Contractor will discuss Contractor’s proposed response with the City Contract Manager. Copies of draft news releases or proposed articles related to the provision of Collection services under this Agreement shall be submitted to City for prior review and approval at least five (5) Business Days in advance of provision to such Persons, except where Contractor is required by any law or regulation to submit materials to any regulatory agency in a shorter period of time, in which case Contractor shall submit such materials to City simultaneously with Contractor’s submittal to such regulatory agency. Copies of articles resulting from media interviews or news releases shall be provided to the City within five (5) Business Days after publication.

Before responding to any inquiries involving issues related to Yard Trimmings 36 collection or street sweeping or any issues likely to affect participation or Service 1 Recipient perception of services, CONTRACTOR will discuss CONTRACTOR’s 2 proposed response with the City Representative.

CONTRACTOR shall notify the City Representative by email or phone of all requests for news media interviews related to the Recycle Plus Program within twenty- four (24) hours of CONTRACTOR’s receipt of the request. Before responding to any inquiries involving Recycle Plus-related issues or any issues likely to affect participation or Service Recipient perception of services, CONTRACTOR will discuss CONTRACTOR’s proposed response with the City Representative. Copies of draft news releases or proposed trade journal articles shall be submitted to the City Representative for prior review and approval at least five (5) Work Days in advance of release, except where CONTRACTOR is required by any law or regulation to submit materials to any regulatory agency in a shorter period of time, in which case CONTRACTOR shall submit such materials to the City Representative simultaneously with CONTRACTOR’s submittal to such regulatory agency. Copies of articles resulting from media interviews or news releases related to CONTRACTOR’s providing services under this Agreement shall be provided to the City Representative within five (5) Work Days after publication.

When practicable, CONTRACTOR shall notify the City Representative by e-mail or phone of all requests for news media interviews related to the Collection Services program within twenty-four (24) hours of CONTRACTOR’S receipt of the request. When practicable, before responding to any inquiries involving controversial issues or any issues likely to affect participation or Service Recipient perception of services, CONTRACTOR will discuss CONTRACTOR’S proposed response with the City Manager.
15.05.1 Copies of draft news releases or proposed trade journal articles related to the Collection Services program shall be submitted to CITY for prior review and approval at least five (5) Work Days in advance of release, except where CONTRACTOR is required by any law or regulation to submit materials to any regulatory agency in a shorter period of time, in which case CONTRACTOR shall submit such materials to CITY simultaneously with CONTRACTOR’S submittal to such regulatory agency.
15.05.2 CONTRACTOR shall not be required to submit social media notices to CITY before posting.
News Media Relations. Contractor will work with local media to ensure information is communicated to community (new programs, events, recycling information, etc.). Contractor to use options, such as; local Newspaper, Radio/TV News outlets, Websites and Social Media. Contractor will notify the City Representative by e-mail or phone of all requests for news media interviews related to the services covered under this Franchise Agreement within one (1) Work Day of Contractor’s receipt of the request. When practicable, before responding to any inquiries involving controversial issues or any issues likely to affect participation or customer’s perception of services, Contractor will discuss Contractor’s proposed response with the City Agreement Administrator.

Company shall notify the District Manager- Engineer by e-mail or phone of all requests for news media interviews related to the Collection Services program within twenty-four (24) hours of Company’s receipt of the request. Before responding to any inquiries involving controversial issues or any issues likely to affect participation or Service Recipient perception of services, Company will discuss Company’s proposed response with the District Manager-Engineer.

Before responding to any inquiries involving controversial issues or any issues likely to affect participation or Service Recipient perception of services, CONTRACTOR will discuss CONTRACTOR’S proposed response with the Contract Administrator.
12.04.1 Copies of draft news releases or proposed trade journal articles shall be submitted to the DISTRICT for prior review and approval at least five (5) Work Days in advance of release, except where CONTRACTOR is required by any law or regulation to submit materials to any regulatory agency in a shorter period of time, in which case CONTRACTOR shall submit such materials to the DISTRICT simultaneously with CONTRACTOR’S submittal to such regulatory agency.
12.04.2 Copies of articles resulting from media interviews or news releases shall be provided to the DISTRICT within five (5) Work Days after publication.
