Night Travel Allowance. When an employee works overtime between 10:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m., the Employer shall cover the cost of taxi fare to and from the residence of the employee. An employee who is choosing to work flex-time may request this allowance.
Night Travel Allowance. When an employee is required to work at the office past 8:00 p.m. or starts earlier than 7:00 a.m., taxi service to and/or from the home of the employee, to a maximum of twentyQfive dollars ($25.00), shall be provided by the Employer. If the employee lives at such a distance from the office that twenty five dollars ($25.00) will not cover the entire journey and a reasonable tip for the taxi driver, the employee may get preQapproved permission from the Director of Finance and Administration to exceed the maximum permitted herein. If the employee is reasonably concerned about her safety at other times taxi service may be provided at the sole discretion of the Employer.
