Non-teaching Time. 12-18.1 Teachers shall be allowed to leave the building during their non-teaching time with the permission of the school principal. Permission may be withheld if the requesting teacher has been assigned coverage or if conditions in the building are such that his/her attendance is required.

Non-teaching Time a. Each secondary teacher should have a duty-free lunch period equal in length to that of the students but shall be no less than thirty (30) minutes.

Non-teaching Time. A full-time teaching position is minutes per week. All Teachers shall have of their time scheduled as prep time. This article does not apply to Directors and Consultants. Travel time immediately prior to, or following a Teacher’s forty consecutive minute lunch period, which is required in order to perform Teaching assignments will not count as part of the teaching time of the Teacher. When a Teacher is required to travel, such travel time shall be counted as part of the teaching time of the Teacher, but it shall not be considered prep time. It is understood that distance travelled will be compensated in accordance with Article of the Collective Agreement.

  • Professional Development Days Upon request, each Employee shall be granted at least three (3) professional development days annually for professional development, at the Basic Rate of Pay. An Employee shall be advised, prior to taking any professional development days of any transportation, registration fees, subsistence and other expenses that will be paid by the Employer. Such hours not used in each fiscal year shall not be carried forward into subsequent years. Applications for such paid professional development opportunities shall be made in writing, to the Employer as early as possible.

  • Professional Development Day The Employees shall be entitled to spend three (3) working days with pay for the purpose of doing research and preparation related to their work at a date mutually acceptable to the Employer and the Employee.

  • Consulting Teachers A. A Consulting Teacher is a permanent status unit member who provides assistance to a Participating Teacher and assists Probationary Teachers as a Support Provider as the caseload formula allows. Consulting Teachers shall possess the following qualifications:
