Planning and Conference Periods. The instructional time scheduled for specials/encore classes for K-6 elementary students shall be used for planning and conference periods by the K-6 classroom teachers. Specials/encore certified teachers shall have planning and conference periods equal to the classroom teachers. K-6 classroom teachers will escort students to specials/encore classes. In the event that specials/encore certified teachers are absent, a substitute will be provided. If no qualified substitute can be provided, the classroom teacher will be compensated.

Planning and Conference Periods. 1. Secondary teachers shall have no less than five (5) periods per week for planning and conference purposes and in any event no less than two hundred (200) minutes of planning and conference time during their workweek. To the extent feasible, teachers shall have one (1) period per day. Lunch time shall not be considered as conference and planning time. In addition, department heads not compensated monetarily shall be given no duty assignment. 2. Elementary teachers (Grades K-4) shall have two hundred (200) minutes of planning and conference time per week. 3. Elementary (K-4) planning and conference time shall be after the tardy bell and before the dismissal bell, while students are in attendance. Specials Teachers’ (i.e. Art, Physical Education, Music and Technology) planning time may be scheduled before the tardy bell or after the dismissal bell in a minimum of twenty (20) minute blocks. 4. An attempt will be made to have one (1) period of planning and conference time per teacher each school day. 5. An attempt will be made to have forty (40) consecutive minutes of planning per teacher each school day. 6. Teachers will not be required to perform scoring and/or recording of state mandated tests during personal planning time. 7. Intervention Specialist tutors who are assigned to work twenty (20) or more hours per week shall be granted two (2) hours paid planning time per week. All other tutors shall receive one (1) hour paid planning time per week. 8. Any teacher who travels from building to building as part of his/her work assignment may be assigned duties in only one building. 9. Itinerant teachers at Xxxxxx and Head Start will spend five (5) days in district kindergartens and spend five (5) days for individual caseloads at Xxxxxx and Head Start at the beginning of the school year. In addition, those bargaining unit members who work with the Head Start Program shall not be assigned any duties. 10. BEA Members at Xxxxxx and Head Start will not supervise/escort students to and from the building for transportation or cafeteria purposes. BEA Members at Xxxxxx and Head Start will not be required to change diapers.

  • Planning Period All observations must be conducted openly and with full knowledge of the employee.

  • PRE-JOB CONFERENCE a) The Employer shall notify the union that a project has been awarded to the Employer following the award. Prior to the start of each project, a pre-job conference shall be held to determine all site-specific issues as outlined in the Agreement. This conference may be conducted via telephone, through a scheduled meeting or by some other practical means as agreed to by the parties. b) A copy of the pre-job conference report shall be provided to the Employer, the Union and the Job Xxxxxxx (s). A copy shall also be posted on the bulletin board(s) at the jobsite.

  • Annual Evaluations The purpose of the annual evaluation is to assess and communicate the nature and extent of an employee's performance of assigned duties consistent with the criteria specified below in this Policy. Except for those employees who have received notice of non-reappointment pursuant to the BOT- UFF Policy on Non- reappointment, every employee shall be evaluated at least once annually. Personnel decisions shall take such annual evaluations into account, provided that such decisions need not be based solely on written faculty performance evaluations.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences A. Unit member shall be available at mutually arranged times during the regular school day to confer with parents regarding learning difficulties, student progress and/or behavioral problems a student may be experiencing. Unit members are encouraged to arrange a meeting or conference with parents before or after the regular school day if both time and place are mutually agreeable. B. In the event that a bargaining unit member does not communicate with a parent on the established date for parent unit member conferences as per the calendar adopted by the Board, a reasonable attempt to contact that parent will be made. A reasonable attempt constitutes a phone call or email. If that contact is not returned, the bargaining unit member shall not be obligated to make further contact.

  • Quarterly Conference Calls The purpose of this contact will be to obtain a greater understanding of the performance of the Portfolio, the reasons for that performance, and to gain valuable insights into the Portfolio provided by the manager.

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "D", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.

  • PRE-BID CONFERENCE Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022, @ 2:00 PM, located at W220 Pre-con Conference Room, 0000 Xxxxxxxxxxxxx Xxxxx (Xxxx Xxxxxxxxx) Xxxxxxx, XX 00000. Attendance is not mandatory but is encouraged.

  • Preconstruction Conference Prior to, or concurrent with, the issuance of the Notice to Proceed with Construction, a conference will be convened for attendance by the Owner, Contractor, A/E and appropriate Subcontractors. The purpose of the conference is to establish a working understanding among the parties as to the Work, the operational conditions at the Project Site, and general administration of the Project. Topics include communications, schedules, procedures for handling Shop Drawings and other submittals, processing Applications for Payment, maintaining required records and all other matters of importance to the administration of the Project and effective communications between the project team members.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.

  • Evaluation Conference The final evaluation conference shall occur not later than the end of the fall term. The purpose of the final evaluation conference is to discuss with the probationary employee the results of the evaluation and announce the team’s recommendation. The evaluation team shall determine what additional evaluation activity shall occur during the spring term. If the team recommends that the District not employ the professor for the following year, no evaluation activities in the spring are necessary.
