The Employee should, where possible, indicate the anticipated duration of the absence. b) Employees will be allowed 3 days of sick leave each year without a medical certificate. To qualify for paid sick leave, Employees may be required to provide a medical certificate, or other reasonable evidence, for each of the following instances: (i) absences from work on a Monday or a Friday; (ii) an absence directly before or after a public holiday; (iii) an absence immediately before or after any rostered days off; (iv) if any other trend of sick leave is identified. c) To qualify for paid carer's leave, Employees may be required to provide a medical certificate or other reasonable evidence specifying the illness, injury or unexpected emergency affecting the person concerned, and, if the document is a statutory declaration, that the Employee was required to provide care.
